This is the bridge that leads over the River Eachaig from Benmore Gardens to the East Gatehouse and Visitor Centre. I've been both over this bridge (visiting the Gardens) and under it (whilst kayaking on the river) many times :)

A painting-with-light shot taken on Ardentinny Beach looking over Loch Long towards the Coulport Naval Base.

I've photographed this scene a number of times but this was the first time at night. It was taken amongst the tumbled rocks on the River Massan in Glen Massan. I'm well used to wee accidents during my night photography sessions and this one was no different ... a slip on some wet rocks resulted in a few thorns in my hand, but I managed to keep out of the water :)

This is the old building at the edge of Benmore Gardens. Currently it houses the administrative offices and the art gallery.

The East Gatehouse was one of the old entrances to Benmore Gardens. Nowadays visitors are diverted through the shop and restaurant to pay their entrance fee, a price well worth paying for an afternoon spent wandering round the miles and miles of available tracks..

This is a Painting With Light photo of the Wright Smith Memorial, a building on the hillside overlooking Benmore Gardens in Argyll. It was a fair hike up the hillside to get to it, but worth it for the view across the Gardens all the way to the Holy Loch. On the way there I followed a forest track as, although it was one of the longer routes available to me, it was a direct route (important when nevigating in the dark!) On the way back, however, I decided to go via one of the shorter routes down the hill through the gardens ... an interesting decision due to the multitude of criss-crossing paths I encountered :).

After a meal and a drink in the excellent Whistlefield Inn I am often inspired to take a shot or 2 on the way home if the night is nice .... this was taken on one of those nights :)

As there were no cars forthcoming the lights you can see are from my own car when I had to drive away from my brand new camera and leave it untended until I could find a place wide enough to perform a u-turn on the narrow country road!

Have a New Year full of light and color !

This is Pucks Hut in Benmore Gardens in Argyll, Scotland..

Puck is a mischievous elf in legend ... perhaps this hut is well named?

Zappeln, winken und flüstern. Um die Wette.

Wriggling and waving to me, the corn really did – at least that's how it looked to me. It was incredibly windy here, almost like at the sea. There was also a whisper from the rustling of the leaves. Unfortunately, I didn't understand that. Wriggling, up and down, that's what I did here, too – together with the wind that made the transverse movement.

Taken a month ago after the first plough of the field. I have often photographed his tree and on this day the light was particularly nice. Taken in North Nottinghamshire

Another photo from the past, and one I have uploaded multiple times in different edits. This is one of my favourite pictures from one of my favourite locations. Its not possible to take this photo any more with the power station now closed and a huge TK Maxx warehouse partially blocking the view.

Para un noctambulo no hay nada mejor que encontrarse en mitad de la nada con lo que muchos denominarían un amasijo de hierro, si embargo para nosotros son tesoros por resucitar de su letargo

Initially I couldn't decide which photos to post. This was my wife's favourite of the series and mine the previous shot. Both similar but definitely not the same

Een tijdje terug was ik voor nachtopnames in ons park. Ik experimenteerde toen ook met beweging. Dit is is de lichtreclame van onze plaatselijke chinees.

A while ago I was for night shoots in our park. I also experimented with movement at the time. This is the neon sign of our local Chinese.

Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.

I'd be lying if I said that the strange noises in the dark didn't freak me out a bit!
