Artists Palette is in the middle of the Artist's drive, which can be a bit intimidating with all of its twists and dips. It is a 9 miles one-way scenic drive on the way to Badwater. Artist's Palette is an area on the face of the Black Mountains noted for a variety of rock colors. These colors are caused by the oxidation of different metals. Called the Artist Drive Formation, the colorful rock is the evidence of the Death Valley area's most violently explosive volcanic periods. It is like a colorful picture right in front of you. Multi-hued volcanic hills made this surreal view…
Painting was my childhood dream, but ended up being a healthcare worker, canvas was covered with dusk in the corner for years… Luckily with a passion for nature, I can paint with light…
Happy Macro Mondays! I love the effects of glass. This is a crystal candle holder, laying vertically. I used a long exposure with 2 small pink and one blue light. Area photographed is 2”

No, my hands did not shake. Although they had every reason to do so – after four hours in the November cold :-) Over fields and meadows, along rows of trees. Until it got dark and I was able to experiment with long exposures. The result: an incredible number of clicks, a happy mind and very wet feet ;-)

"Two Guns" swimming pool has been transformed into a work of art, that is constantly changing with new graffiti. This is a night photo. Using a flashlight to paint portions of the scene and combining 30 or so separate photos to complete the scene. The Buildings where painted with light too. The plan was to include the Milky Way. Regrettably, The Milky Way was hidden by clouds.
"Two Guns," Arizona is a Route 66 ghost town in Coconino County located about 30 miles east of Flagstaff. Located on the east rim of Canyon Diablo, it prospered as a tourist stop along Route 66 for many years before it was bypassed by Interstate 40." Wiki

Antoni.

In order to see it in all its splendor, I recommend expanding it.
Chronicle of the Photo,
Today's photographic outing was scheduled to paint night photographs of an abandoned church in the mountains.
Panoramic photograph made up of 6 photographs, four vertical ones to capture the church and two horizontal ones for the sky.
It was exhibited in two different ways, one for the photos of the sky and the other for those of the church.
The path is a rock ridge that stands out from the ground and has a slope on both sides.
It occurred to me to paint with light the path of rocks towards the entrance of the Church with a powerful spotlight with which I had to perform several tests to calculate the intensity of the light and the exposure time.
The lighting of the Church was more complex as it was a panoramic view and it has the lighting of two different photos and lit two different times.
This time I did not illuminate the interior of the church to give the photo more drama.
During editing, I adjusted the photos that fit the lights of the four vertical photos, then the two horizontal photos of the sky, and subsequently join the six.
The focus of the church and sky was done by hyperfocusing since we were working with absolute darkness.
The technical data is so complex that I have erased it for being a tostón.
I hope you like a cordial greeting. Antoni.

I came here because i liked photography as a way to frame memories and as the exceptional art to paint with light.
I hoped to find inspiration ... which i found and keep on finding here every day.
I never thought i would find friendship here, an untouchable kind of connection with some beautiful souls sharing their wonderful work, but i found that too, because photography is also a beautiful way to express feelings and thoughts!
Thank you ... you all deserve to be completely found in your surroundings!
Cologne Nights – Painted with Light
Looking out over the Rhine at night, Cologne reveals one of its most impressive sides. The city lights reflect vividly on the water, the cathedral rises brightly illuminated into the dark sky, and the Hohenzollern Bridge stretches like a glowing ribbon across the panorama.
I chose this moment deliberately – just after sunset, when the sky still holds a touch of blue and the cityscape transforms into a scene of light and reflection.
For me, this image combines the traditional with the vibrant: the quiet strength of historic architecture and the dynamic glow of a modern city. It’s a view that shows how a city can tell stories even at night – not with words, but through color and form.

Antoni.

Today's photographic outing was scheduled to take night photographs of an abandoned church in the mountains.
The group made up of four photographers and we have met in a good restaurant to eat while we discussed the strategies to follow, during the photographic session, to be able to take the maximum number of photographs with the minimum time (given that at 10 at night everyone we had to be home).
In the end ... today I had to be outside the ruined church while the remaining three took photos inside. On another occasion it will be, so today I have only been able to take photos from outside.
Due to the cold and humidity, we had to constantly clean the water on our cameras and lenses with special cloths, and clean the lenses because they were fogged and wet.
As the grass went, it was no longer green, it was white ... it was beginning to freeze. Luckily today no mishap has to stand out, I hope you like it.
A cordial greeting. Antoni.

This is another in a series of shots that I took with Darrell when got together to do some sunset photography. We revisited a place where I previously took the picture that I previously posted of a tree at the edge of a nearby cornfield. The corn stalks at the this edge of the field were much shorter than those in the rest of the field... which helps make this an interesting shot.
This HDR image was created from three exposures using Photomatix and then processed in Lightroom 5.

The morning mist still drifts through the valley...The flat sun brings color and life to the magnificent scenery.
Taken above the South Stack Lighthouse on Anglesey. I was up there with my flash running round like a headless chicken trying to paint with light whilst being in the shot. It was a balmy 21 degrees and I was getting a right sweat on too. It was fun and very much worth it though :-)
Painted with light....

"Celebrating one of the most beautiful cultural boulevards in the world for the duration of the Festival, the city’s historic architectural icons will be painted with light and coloured with life.
The State Library of South Australia, The South Australian Museum, The Art Gallery of South Australia on North Terrace are the sandstone cornerstones of our culture, illuminating and enlightening each generation. For two weeks, they themselves will take the spotlight every night of the Festival from dusk till 2am, the artists from the internationally acclaimed The Electric Canvas will transform their facades.
Through a constantly changing array of perfect, jaw-dropping architectual projection, reflecting the heritage and function of these beautiful buildings, Colonel Light’s 19thcentury vision will become a 21st-century vision in light."

✦ Claudia Mini by small ✦
The Bentley glides to a halt, its polished chrome reflecting the star-struck crowd. The chauffeur opens the door, and in an instant, silence falls—just long enough for the world to catch its breath. Then my crimson boot heel strikes the red carpet, detonating the hush into a thousand camera flashes, each burst a jewel of light. “Over here!” they shout. “Who are you wearing?” Their questions fall like sparks, and I answer not with words but with presence—the Claudia Mini by small.
Rising from the seat, I let the cameras drink in every sculpted contour. The hemline, cut at daring angles, flares like petals in motion, while the cling of fabric across my waist and bust carries the same allure once found in the bias cuts of the 1930s. The ribbons cinch delicately at my side, whispering both elegance and seduction. Voices press closer: “Turn to the left!” I pivot just enough to let the BLINN & SOFT PBR fabric shimmer beneath the spotlights, its subtle transparency teasing like silk painted with light.
The Claudia is not simply a dress but a living archive of fashion’s greatest revolutions—echoes of the futurism of the ’60s flicker in its sharp lines, while the unapologetic boldness of the ’90s breathes in its second-skin fit. Each element feels reborn for tonight, sculpted to ignite desire in both fan and lens. “One more shot!” a photographer calls, and I pause, tilting my head, the asymmetry of the skirt fluttering as though charged with its own electricity.
The carpet becomes alive with my name, the crowd thrumming with envy, lust, awe. I stride forward beneath the storm of lights, each camera flash immortalizing not just my arrival but the spell cast by this mini. The Claudia is no mere garment—it is the storm, the spectacle, the headline. And as I vanish into the floodlit entrance of the gala, I smile. Fashion is fleeting. But tonight, I am eternal.
