A. O. Vinje was a famous Norwegian poet who is remembered for poetry, travel writing, and his pioneering use of Landsmål (now known as Nynorsk)
To make money to attend school he worked during the summer as a shepherd, and partly, he took on farm work in the village. In addition he added to his income by producing illegal spirits.

Kids Starter Pack to promote healthy eating in schools. Box was developed without the use of glue allowing it to be folded out to create a 'snakes and ladders' like game. Dice were made from erasers and the counters popped out of the base flaps. Box also contained a 7 week healthy eating menu, ruler and colouring pencils. Printed 5 colour (including a double hit of white) on recycled German carton board. All concepts, design, illustration and artwork undertaken by Suzanne Green and Andrew Mulvenna whilst working at Frame.
So, the mighty ASDA have turned their considerable resources to the art of whisky production, with the launch of their Extra Special Tasgall range of whiskies. £50 for a 25 year (even if it is a blend) is pretty impressive, and based on the what I tried with a nuked palette at ASDA’s press tasting a few months back, it’s rather good. They also offer a 30 for £60 which I would quite like to get my hands on and compare this one with.
As I understand it the word ’Tasgall’ has its origins in Norse mythology, meaning "cauldron of the gods” - the T on the logo looks quite similar to an inverted Thor’s Hammer. An excellent motif for a dram, for sure - but will the flavour match up? I’ll let you know when I try it properly :v

Moschopolis is the first wine series of the homonym Moscopolis Winery. The brand is based on the premium wine quality matured in barrels, scientific approach of the owners' aged experience and thorough methodology of each production step -from the born of the grape- to the bottling.
Instead of introducing a representational metaphor in the label, we created a wine-self-reference one, a label that carries only wines' internal and essential information. This was achieved by collecting, structuring and organising the most important elements. By introducing a clear typographic system on the label, extroversion has been achieved, which arrives from the decision to include all information available directly to the viewer. The label introduces the wine and the winery, as if the owner is present by himself - without being.
Secondly, methodology was accomplished visually through this system, in a way that verifies the brands' own practice. Thirdly, education, as a way of communicating all the essential elements of this product to the also non familiar to barrel wines audience. Last but not least, considering the marketplace abroad, there is a clear reference to the origin (product of Greece) by including international words routed in greek language, such as Genesis, Aura, Methodology etc.
Part of this orthological approach was to name each label with a number, so as to keep a consistency that is related and actually verified with the nature of the brand’s practices.
All of the above was carefully crafted and printed in two colours with a hot bronze foil working as a stamp of the aged barrel.

Package and brand job for The Coffee Plant on Portobello Rd, I shot a macro photograph of each of the beans to show the distinct difference between them. Each was accompanied by a brief flavour description and whether the bean is organic and fairtrade. Concept to use different shades of green based around the primary colour so over time regular customers can become subconsciously accustomed to their favourite bean's shade. American typewriter and Akzidenz Grotesk font used. Unpublished.

I found this wonderful powder box in an old pharmacy in Vienna. The tissue paper reads: "Poudre compacte - L. Leichner Berlin". Underneath is a solid pink talcum powder stone. The inside of the lid features a small mirror. The outside of the box reads: "Powder in solid form, pink". This is such a lovely piece of package design and appealing typography. The box measures 4cm in height and 4,5 cm in diameter. The box must date around 1920 and is fully intact.
