UPS Flight 5X81 from Shanghai (PVG) approaches Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC), passing over the grassy shoreline and tree line just beyond the Cook Inlet mud flats before touching down on Runway 7L. AHK B744F parked spot-on the line at Shanghai Pudong Airport cargo apron on a wet and ugly day, much worse than forecast!!
After an unsuccessful approach to the eastern side of the airport, we did manage to land on the west side, where the weather was marginally friendlier.
Chinese Air Traffic control can be a real pain to deal with!!

Last taxed in April 2012 and last MoT test expired in March 2013.
Seen here partially obscured by an earlier 3-door Metro.
Boeing 777-FS2 N886FD (41065/1041) of FDX 90 Shanghai -Memphis at 35.0 with 513kts on a 131 degree heading with 4873nm in 3:25 over the Vancouver Area.
Taken in 2008 when this Boeing 747 belonged to Dragonair Cargo.
Originally it was built in 1992 and delivered to Singapore Airlines as a passenger airplane as 9V-SMM.
In 2007 it was converted to a freighter and flew for Dragonair Cargo as B-KAF until 2010 when Cathay Pacific bought it and they flew it until April 2013 when it was stored.
