I went to a pumpkin patch today looking for "The Great Pumpkin".
It was brought up how the selective color technique is so cool.
I've always liked the effect but really don't know my way around Photoshop AT ALL!
This is my first attempt, it's not perfect but at least I figured it out :)
Pumpkins are grown all around the world for a variety of reasons ranging from agricultural purposes (such as animal feed) to commercial and ornamental sales.

I'm guilty of not delighting in Autumn. Those of you who have been my Flickr friends since last year may remember how badly I grieved for my spring flowers. The truth is, I am guilty in not delighting in many a beautiful thing and opportunity in my life, such as the opportunity to just be. It's been a long year. My body is tired. My mind is tired. And I think Autumn sounds like a good time to rest and get back to being me.
While I had the flashes set up for the cats, I made a pic of some little pumpkins we picked up at the farmers market. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
The creations above were entry's in a pumpkin carving contest that took place in the town of Middleburgh N.Y. in Schoharie County.

I saw this pumpkin field while out for a run on Sunday and came back around sunset to get some photos. The pumpkins look ripe and ready for the picking.
