This is getting to be a favorite spot for Aurora. After leaving private property earlier in the evening on April 23, I drove 10 miles west to get here by about 1 a.m. The sound of the water with the Aurora pulsating overhead was calming and magical.
My cage is gilded, my heart beats like a pendulum at its center.
Staring at its peak, awaiting the day that the golden latch flinches.
The sun transcends across my polished bars in streams,
that restore my faith in the world.
My cage is alive.
It pulsates and sighs with my heart at its core.
Torn paper dreams that carry through the air,
as the wind speaks to them.
So full of affection and vigor,
beating in time with its iridescent copper swing.
I feel like I'll have wings someday,
the heartbeat calls through the bars.
Maybe so, the bars reply.
Maybe so....

The lights are dim, a pulsating rhythm is played through speakers in the ceiling... This is scene setting for the visit you are about to make. At the end of the tunnel is a small ticket booth where you purchase your entrance to Bunk'Art 1 - which is then entered after walking up a steep path. Then, through a series of thick concrete doors, you enter a 5-storey bunker comprising 106 rooms!
The bunker (in Tirana) was built for Albania's political elite in the 1970s. The rooms use photos and sound, old films,
mannequins and various items to recreate the history of modern Albania, beginning with the 1939 Italian invasion and ending with the overthrow of communism.

Old Shanghai
-stareye9-
Old Shanghai overwhelms all the senses-
hustle and bustle from dawn until dusk
Heightening pace as nighttime commences,
activity proceeds briskly and brusk
Vendors display a myriad of goods
from cheapest trinkets to elegant fare
On crowded corners in packed neighborhoods,
storefront windows cast a painterly glare
Food sold from carts where customers line up
Some ragged ensemble plucking a tune
While sipping tea from a circular cup-
fireworks blossom by pulsating moon
With another bite of plated stir-fry
poised between chopstix in rambling Shanghai

In late May or June; The farmers brought their sheep; To
wash their fleeces; In this deep pool - Burbling, bumbling,
bleating - The waters bleat like a flock of sheep it dipped
- Dip your ghosts into this hard, cold merky place - Hear
their bleat in the water’s rush to escape - The foam like
wool pulsates - Damp leaves nothing behind but the
trees’ readiness - parishioners of Middleton & Smerrill

[from Wikipedia]:
Jellyfish and sea jellies are the informal common names given to the medusa-phase of certain gelatinous members of the subphylum Medusozoa, a major part of the phylum Cnidaria. Jellyfish are mainly free-swimming marine animals with umbrella-shaped bells and trailing tentacles, although a few are anchored to the seabed by stalks rather than being mobile. The bell can pulsate to provide propulsion for highly efficient locomotion. The tentacles are armed with stinging cells and may be used to capture prey and defend against predators. Jellyfish have a complex life cycle; the medusa is normally the sexual phase, which produces planula larvae that disperse widely and enter a sedentary polyp phase before reaching sexual maturity.
I don't know why the heart, my friend, in its coiled musculature
and knot of soft tissue and sinew keeps on in you and me and
that lone flycatcher pillaging the rye grass, or those shrilling
crickets or the croakers in the marsh now starting their evening
doo wop or the Black Angus, like a procession of mourners,
dragging their shadows up from the creek before they buck and run
at our approach. Or the sun, now evanescing in the dusk, arteries
streaked across the western sky, what moves it in space, across
our retinas and into the convolutions of memory? I'm lost again
in the unbroken backbeat, my friend, perpetual in my adoration.
Follow me, if you will, up this ridge road, past the horse farm
and relay towers, with their daisy chains of red lights, pulsating
to warn away planes. I love how the landscape ripples away
in every direction, a tapestry we might float above
or disappear into, a dotting of yardlights like votive candles,
fields and valleys flowing away into darkness. We have come
this far to see the northern auroras, if conditions are right,
so we pick our fenceposts to watch the heavens fill with stars:
the empty dipperful, the seven daughters of Pleiades, a trillion
more I'll never know the names of as fireflies begin to luminesce
and drift about us. We wait and watch, you patient and content
to lick your paws, incarnation of the Buddha, I sometimes think,
here to shame my lack of virtue. And when wild dogs or
coyotes howl miles away, you tip your head up toward me with such
melancholy in your eyes I know whatever life dwells inside you
longs to cross the dark ocean that separates man from dog,
two animal souls on this hill searching the distant horizon
for arcs of light, like glowing fingers, to appear and touch us.

-------
In the middle of the pulsating heart of the city, simple yet meaningful traffic signs rise up: "Broadway" and "One Way" are emblazoned on them in clear, unmistakable lettering. It is more than just directions; it is a metaphor for life in the big city. For Broadway as a legendary street that never sleeps, a symbol of dreams, splendor and countless stories. Next to it is the unmistakable "One Way" - a reminder that the path to success often only leads in one direction, without turning back.
The Andromeda Galaxy (Messier 31) is the nearest large galaxy to our own Milky Way and one of the most magnificent objects in the night sky. Visible as a faint small smudge from a dark site on a moonless night, M31 is a gigantic aggregation of hundreds of billions of stars at a distance of about 2.5 million light years.
Once thought to be a nebula inside our own Galaxy, its true nature was discovered by Edwin Hubble in 1925, which measured the distance of this "island universe" by studying a special class of pulsating stars known as Cepheids (his estimated distance was more than half smaller than the present value but still large enough to put it well outside the extent of our own Milky Way Galaxy).
M31 is classified as a spiral galaxy with its galactic plane inclined about 13o to our line of sight, and it is therefore seen nearly edge-on. It has a number of smaller satellite galaxies, the most prominent of which are M32 (the bright, star-like concentration above and to the left of the nucleus) and M110, the more extended bright patch below and to the right of the nucleus). Astronomers have found evidence of a massive black hole at the center of this galaxy (as is the case for our own Milky Way).
They have also calculated that we are in a collision course with our grand neighbor in space - approaching each other at a speed of about 100 Km/sec, the two galaxies will collide in about 3 billion years and maybe merge into a giant elliptical galaxy.
I can’t really know if E.T.’s home was the Andromeda Galaxy, but I can tell you that this galaxy is exceptional, either through a telescope or in deep sky photographs.
I wish you all health, happiness and clear skies!

Jellyfish have a complex life cycle; the medusa is normally the sexual phase, the planula larva can disperse widely and is followed by a sedentary polyp phase. Jellyfish are found all over the world, from surface waters to the deep sea. Scyphozoans (the true jellyfish) are exclusively marine, but some hydrozoans with a similar appearance live in freshwater. Large, often colorful, jellyfish are common in coastal zones worldwide. The medusae of most species are fast growing, mature within a few months and die soon after breeding, but the polyp stage, attached to the seabed, may be much more long-lived. Jellyfish have been in existence for at least 500 million years, and possibly 700 million years or more, making them the oldest multi-organ animal group. 31199

I had the opportunity to visit Artechouse for Quayola’s algorithmic light show based off an AI interpretation of piano music. You read that right, and if it sounds and looks surreal, you should have just seen the walls pulsating with the different color tones to match the piano’s notes. According to Artechouse, the exhibit offers “A duet of motorized piano and hyperreal projections combines human and technological elements through a system of unconventional generative algorithms.”
"And I love you, Winter!

You because you know everything,
Me because I dream everything..."

Minnesota Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) pulsating green over the horizon on a small unnamed lake off the Gunflint Trail in Minnesota's Boundary Waters Wilderness Area. It was about 2:00am in the morning and the landscape looked like a movie set with the green tinted sky full of stars reflecting off the water and the misty fog starting to roll in from the open lake. That floating bog in the middle was covered in carnivorous picture plants adding a little to the spooky factor :O

Walking through the Inhotim gardens is more than just contemplating its exuberance. Inserted in the remaining forested portion of the Atlantic Forest and Cerrado – two of the richest biomes in biodiversity and, at the same time, threatened on the planet – the Institute is a pulsating field for scientific research and a tool for conservation and environmental education.
In 2010, Inhotim was recognized as a Botanical Garden, a title awarded by the National Commission of Botanical Gardens (CNJB). The gardens, which began to be built in the 1980s, were designed by Pedro Nehring, who is still responsible for the landscaping of Inhotim. Between 2000 and 2004, Luiz Carlos Orsini created the 25-hectare landscaping project. Today, the Institute is a national and international reference in contemporary tropical landscaping.
In total, there are more than 140 hectares of visitation area, in addition to an extension of 250 hectares of Inhotim Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN). The Inhotim Botanical Garden (JBI) manages the collection and botanical collections, comprising more than 4,300 native Brazilian and exotic species from around the world, in addition to researching and monitoring the Institute's natural heritage.
In 2021, Instituto Inhotim was awarded the Grant Awarded – BGCI’s Global Botanic Garden Fund, an international incentive that recognizes and supports projects that work towards plant conservation.

It's my third time and I walked 3/4 of the Inhotim institute until today. I walked through the left front part of the desert plants and some art galleries. I'll have to go one more time to see the last part (4/4).
The distance from home to Inhotim Institute is 549.5 kilometers or 340.8 miles by car. The fastest route takes about 7 hours and 19 minutes.

Piazza Gae Aulenti is the newest change into my city. A new, modern, fascinating pulsating center where to gather, have a walk and enjoy the fresh wind of renovation, at least on the architectural side.

Actually it's Roman or Romanesco Cauliflower, which I gather has nothing to do with the Roman empire, but is a modern cross between cauliflower and broccoli. It is dry looking stuff and yet, close up, it has a slightly slimy look under the lights. The background is a cheese grater with an LED torch and a small red gel inside it. The odd ghosting effect was just a flash unit being fired from low down and I think some light bounced back off the polished surface of the cheese grater. Both effects were rather unexpected.
Icelands "Strokkur Geyser" is one of the most persistent geysers in the world and lies in the Haukadalur valley at the base of Laugarfjall hill.
The small geothermal area in which the geyser lies is one of the major tourist attractions in Iceland.
Eruptions usually occur with intervals of between 5-10 minutes and involve a single burst reaching a height of up to 30 meters. Prior to eruptions, the pool is full and gently pulsates up and down. The eruption commences when a pulse of steam rising from below pushes the water in the pool upwards forming a large dome (or bubble) of water through which the steam bursts and expels much of the water in the pool skywards.
Happy Holidays.

"In the heart of the Fairelands, where the veil between the realms of the living and the dead grows thin, lies Öndheim (the Realm of the Spirits, in Old Norse). This fantastical realm, cloaked in mist and mystery, serves as a crossroads for souls traversing from one world to another.
In Öndheim, time dances to its own tune, and the landscape is a tapestry woven from the threads of dreams and memories. Ancient trees whisper secrets to the wind, towering mountains rise majestically against the backdrop of an endless sky. Structures carved from solid rock and adorned with precious gold dot the landscape, their intricate designs telling tales of ancient civilizations long gone. At the center of it all stands the Dòmbjalla, a majestic bell where souls gather to await their fate.
Deep within the mountain lies a secret chamber known only to a select few. Here, amidst the towering peaks and shimmering gold structures, the Fjǫrsteði, the Forge of Life burns eternal, tended by ancient Titans whose duty is to keep the pulsating heart of Ondheim alive.
The entrance to the chamber is hidden amidst the gardens of the Realm and the Bell of Judjment, guarded by ancient wards and powerful enchantments. Few have ever dared to venture into its depths, and only those who are determined to fight the Unweaver can access it, for the secrets it holds are known only to those who wield the most powerful weapon to defeat it once and for all: Hope.
Among the spirits who dwell in Öndheim are those who await judgment, their ethereal forms drifting through the golden valleys and rocky crags. Some wander alone, lost in contemplation of their past lives, while others gather in small groups, seeking solace in the company of their fellow souls." - Kadaj Yoshikawa

These are the moments of pure being, moments of pulsating life when you feel connected with everything and it´s for sure you are in the right place at the right time. At least thats how I felt by capturing this.

After quietly enjoying Rio, our little ship continued north along the coast of Brazil until we reached Salvador, Bahia. It was love at first sight for me. I knew little about the city when we arrived, but immediately, I was curious and went exploring.
This look out on to the Atlantic Ocean reminded me of Cascais Portugal, a city I once called home. Salvador, Bahia is the largest city in the northeast of Brazil it was founded in 1549 by the Portuguese. Unfortunately, it was used as a slave port during its early history. Now that unpleasant beginning has given way to a culture rich in African influence and has created a pulsating musical and food paradise.
Life pulsates in every living being... and every living being has its place and meaning in nature
What is the meaning of the people ...? They are the destroyers!!
Nature doesn’t need people... but they need nature to survive

Step into the enchanting tableau of Spring's symphony, captured in the warm embrace of a Spring afternoon. This magnificent capture showcases the towering spires of foxgloves, known scientifically as Digitalis purpurea, as they ascend towards the clear skies, their bell-shaped blooms arrayed in vibrant hues of pink and spotted throats. Each flower seems to be painted with its own pattern, reminiscent of delicate brushstrokes on fine porcelain. Against the backdrop of soft, sunbaked bricks, these floral minarets create a contrast that is both striking and harmonious. The foxgloves, in full seasonal flourish, offer more than just visual splendor; they play a crucial role in the local ecosystem as beacons for pollinators like bees and hummingbirds. This photograph captures not just the beauty of Spring but the pulsating life that comes with it, in a corner of an Atlanta suburb where nature's artistry is proudly on display.
When our flames
Were lit by chaos
We knew not the grip
The bondage of light
Then he waved his sceptre
And cosmos was formed
Too late we knew
Our freedom was lost
He blinded us
Polluted our minds
And forced us to drink
Drink his blood
I will show the world God's true face
I will let the thunder roar forevermore
I've deceived his world but regained
Paradise in the fire of my soul
In the death of the wind I sleep
As I wail this petrified landscape
Chaos, anguish, an optimum affection
In the clarity of certainty
So empty
"Mighty Lucifer
Thou art the light that leads to darkness
As much as I praise thee, I love thee without praise
As much as I love myself, I adore thee relentlessly
Thou art our true father
The wine of Venus, the essence of our hope"
Death, solemn death of the reaper's star
Devour his legacy from afar
I fumble, live, I fall, die
Isolated in the crowds of God
And suffering in between, lurks the everlasting absence
For my dark euphoria
Thence I am sovran created
Like in heaven myself and I fell in fury
The indolence of solitude
May drive out the soul of its sermon
And memory shall be lost
To the blood which hopelessly pulsates
The indolence of solitude
May drive out the soul of its sermon
And memory shall be lost
To the blood which hopelessly pulsates
In our excruciating hearts
"Is this the region, this the soil, the clime
This the seat that we must change for heav'n
This mournful gloom for that celestial light?
Be it so
Since hee who now is sovran can dispose and bid what shall be right
Fardest from him is best
Whom reason hath equald force hath made supreme above his equals
Farewel happy fields where joy for ever dwells
Hail horrours, hail infernal world and thou profoundest hell
Receive thy new possessor
One who brings a mind not to be chang'd by place or time"
In this abyss
We shall be free
Here we shall celebrate
The coming war

People don't usually associate Aurora Borealis with the west of Ireland and why would they, we are situated well south of the Artic. However, when conditions are right, we sometimes get a treat!! St. Patrick's night 2015 was one of those nights when everything aligned and we were given a very special treat!! Here is a short time-lapse condensing 71 minutes to less than 30 seconds. Even with an ultra wide angle lens I couldn't capture it all as at one point it was pulsating over head, magical.

I had such an amazing morning today I simply couldn't believe my good fortune. In addition to having a delightful time with a Virginia Rail male I stumbled upon this female Baltimore Oriole busily building her hanging, basket-like nest.
She would bring a load of long dry grass and would go inside the nest and weave the pieces into the basket. While she was inside I could see patches of her orange and black feathers peeking through the unfinished wall sections. And when she was in there she poked and pushed and weaved so energetically that the whole structure was pulsating and shaking.
