In a rare sight these days, three gray units smoke up the sky pulling hard across the I-10 bridge westbound through Houston. KCS 654, KCS 692, and an unidentified AC4400CW unit roll through town with two tarped locomotives bound for Mexico on the MSHMXJ train. Sadly, the SD40 units seen here are now gone off the roster.

The contestants /tractors are placed in groups according to motor capacity and have to pull Tree trunks uphill those that manage the furthest distance win the even. when more than one contestant manages a "Full-pull" then there is a so called pull-off to decide the winner. It has becomme a very popular event in this small village of Wahrendahl, Stadt Hessich Oldendorf in Landkreis Hameln-Pyrmont, Germany www.traktorpulling.de/historie.php

Thanks to DB for steering me the right direction.

It is a crazy notion to think that the moon, roughly 240,000 miles away from the Earth, can exhibit its subtle influence on a body as massive as the ocean, changing.... nay causing tides. And to think, as I sit there watching all that slowly happen that that same moon all those thousands of miles away has its pull on me too. In that respect the ocean and I have something in common.

The power of the sun.

With the Y119 turn from Saginaw on the drawbar, LSRC 6431 and friends pull into the former PM/C&O/CSX McGrew Yard in Flint, MI.

With the return train (and power) for Saginaw already staged at the north end of the yard, the crew will tie this train down and then hop on their return ride home. Lake State runs a tight ship, and this crew will get to sleep in their own beds tonight.

LSRC 6431 was formerly UP 4608, purchased by the Lake State in 2022.
