Now for something very different: an amazing street art scenario we encountered at a tram station in the outer rims of Bergen, Norway. I just loved how the girl blended in :)
Happy Windows Wednesday!

Sunrise and sunset we were treated to the must saturated rainbow or nacreous clouds I’ve ever seen. I was lucky enough to be out specially to take photos in the morning, thinking it was solstice. I’m glad I was dumb enough to think solstice lands on the 21st every year or I would have missed capturing this in a scenic place. In my story today I was complaining about taking a better photos with my pixel phone than my proper camera. It was an exaggeration of course but it was built from my frustration of a high failure rate of spoilt photos, mostly caused by camera movement which can be expected on a very windy morning with the waves hitting my tripod (and down my wellies) and also glare from smeared ND grads. However I bit of forethought and it was all fixable, go handheld with IS and clean or remove the filters. It’s a poor craftsman who blames his tools.
tell me spirituality can't sometimes just blow your "mind" to bits & pieces?!

BUT MOSTLY: BIGGER, ON BLACK!
Star trails were created by stacking 444 15sec exposures. The foreground (=Fuji) was taken at dawn from the exact same positon. They were blended manually in CS6. I boosted the colors in post processing but they are indeed actual star trails. Click here to visit my Facebook Page.

Some Big Apple psychedelica as we wind down 2008 as viewed from Jersey City, NJ. Was surprised as well to get some star trails intermixed in this very long exposure.

This is a highly-detailed, vibrantly colored piece inspired by Mexico's Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. I combined the simplified black outline of a skull with my usual funky abstract style to create an artwork that is vivid, boisterous, and jubilant. I like the paradoxical juxtaposition of the classic image of death and mortality - the skull - portrayed amidst colorful abstract forms and intricate designs, which express the fullness and joy of life.
Yesterday I had a quick play with ContextFree and created one of those psychedelic mandalas.
Thought I need to do a bit more with it so I used it in the Mandelbulb city panorama above as object and light map.
The panorama is a 360 photosphere and you can look around on google views( www.google.com/maps/views/view/108648089614826670458/gpho... )

While in general the styles of Prisma app are starting to wear thin really quickly, in some photos they really work magically. My Pompeii photos from this spring turned into full-blown psychedilia.
