Après une plus d’une semaine d’attente j’ai finalement dû me rendre à la poste pour récupérer mon colis contenant ma nouvelle PS3 slim. Emballer dans un gros carton rempli de papier bulle, la boite de la console est malgré tout légèrement abîmé dans le coin inférieur droit. Ceci étant dit, je ne pense pas que c’est à cause du transport, mais plutôt de la Fnac qui nous refile les boites qui feraient mauvaise figure en magasin. Dans tous les cas la console est bien protégée avec des renforts en carton à l’intérieur. Mon choix c’est porté sur le modèle le moins chère, car aucun bundle ne m’intéresser et je compte réutiliser mon disque dur de 320Go que j’avais déjà avec ma fat.
A l’intérieur évidemment on trouve la console qui même si elle a moins de gueule que le premier modèle fait tout de même son effet. Plus légère, plus petite, plus écolo, mais surtout plus de lecteur de carte et plus de rétro-compatibilité avec les jeux ps2. Même si finalement ça ne me dérange pas trop, car j’ai finit par revendre tous mes jeux ps2.
Malheureusement si comme moi vous pensiez pouvoir réutiliser le disque dur de votre ps3 fat sur votre nouvelle ps3 slim et bien c’est raté! La console affiche directement un message d’erreur indiquant que vous devez lui proposer sur clef usb des fichiers d’installation pour formater le disque dur et réinstaller le système. (petite astuce si vous n’avez pas de clef usb sous la main, il suffi tout simplement d’insérer un jeu récent comme inFamous 2). Autant dire que vous perdrez toutes vos donner et la seule solution que j’ai trouvé pour éviter cela est de sauvegarder sur un disque dur usb toutes les vidéos, musiques, images et de copier vos sauvegardes de jeu sur le cloud grâce à la fonction disponible pour les membres psn+. Une fois le système installé, il ne reste plus qu’a copié vos vidéos, musiques, images depuis votre disque dur usb et à se connecter à son compte PSN pour télécharger toutes vos sauvegardes de jeux sur la console. Part contre, il faudra re-télécharger tous les jeux PSN ainsi que les démo ou les DLC depuis votre liste de téléchargement sur le Pstore.
Vraiment dommage que Sony n’est pas penser à permettre de faire un backup complet au cas ou la console nous lâche avec un YLOD! Finalement à part ce problème cette nouvelle ps3 me plait déjà beaucoup avec son ventilateur vraiment très silencieux et l’envoi du son à l’emplis sans compression. Sinon le principal c’est que je vais enfin pourvoir me remettre à jouer et rattraper tout mon retard en espèrent que cette nouvelle ps3 slim tiendra au moins jusqu’à l’arriver d’une Playstation 4.

The interview was from January 2007 and it's now February. I still can't find a Wii but I found these 3 60gig PS3's sitting at my local Best Buy. Mind you it was Wednesday and they probably came in Tuesday with the Wii Play game stock I was looking for... which was sold out. Well maybe I can put that money towards a $699 PS3.
Oh and another thing, Thanks Sony for the price increase on the Canadian PS3's. Can anyone spare a dollar... I wonder if I squigied and pan handled for money I could get me a PS3 with in a month?

If you don't already have a PS2, you can pick up a slim version for $129 cnd and you can pick from a pretty extensive PS2 and PSone game collection that already exists. Oh and it plays DVDs too!
