I FINALLY got this shot! I've not had a little one yet that I thought would even let me try this one, but this little guy just naturally wanted to prop on his folded arms, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It worked! Had grandma lend me a "finger" for a couple of shots, but then had her take it away and he held this pose until I moved him!!! *Sigh* I love newborns :)

Tucked away on the edge of Bassenthwaite Lake near the hamlet of Dubwath is the former Bassenthwaite Lake railway station on the one time CK&P (Cockermouth, Keswick & Penrith) Railway line. It was a Beeching era closure that saw the line west of Keswick close outright on the 18/4/1966. To make the situation worse the remaining branch to Keswick from Penrith on the West Coast mainline subsequently closed on 6/3/1972.
Step forward to 2019 and the derelict Bassenthwaite Lake station was bought and renovated by a local couple to become a cafe, seeing as the station still had a platform and track bed the new owners set about sourcing some suitable carriages to put in the station thus increasing seating capacity as the station building was quite small. Quite by luck they came across the carriages and locomotive built as props for the 2017 Holywood film 'Murder on the Orient Express' the coaches and locomotive had been part of a failed sale to a buyer in Ireland and languished in a haulage yard in Stoke-on-Trent (possibly Reid Freight Services, unconfirmed). There were four carriages and a French class 241A (4-8-2) that had been built for the film by BGI Supplies Ltd of Longcross in Surrey. 3 of the 4 carriages and the locomotive were purchased and moved to their new home at Bassenthwaite Lake. They are very convincing mock ups especially the locomotive. The observant will however notice the large internal dimensions of the rolling stock as they were purpose built wide to accommodate movie film cameras and crew. Its like walking through a Spanish 5ft 6in gauge carriage.
In this view looking north along the platform the Fourgon (Baggage/Brake) is marshalled with a saloon car either side of it, the one nearest the building also incorporates the bar.

My brother-in-law and I made a trip to the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, OR. I've been several times so this time I tried to focus on the parts of the planes that made interesting patterns and such.

Down at the bottom of the lane lived an ass with great legs and she wore tights leggings and high heel shoes. one day the blond cute girl wiggled her beautiful pair of tight jeans along to see the ass, she said why are you dress ed up in a bra , panties , boots underwear when you could be waring a thong over your arse to keep your behind warm while you oil the grease nipple on which sat a tit which was sexy young and candid.

I found this neat little jewelry box for a buck at a thrift store on my trip to NC ^_^ it's perfect for small or Yo-SD sized dollies! It's gonna make for a fantastic prop!

Decided to take a shot of some of my more used props. Blue Snags is there for scale since I used him for a similar referance when I originally finished the "backlot".
Large barrels are painted soup cans. Got that idea from resistance827. Although I typically hate how obvious they look, 1/6 props are a bitch to come by so they work in a pinch.
Lockers are from some Barbie-ish line. They were purple and pink. Unfortunately they're about 10" scale so they only kind of work with the big guys.
Styro. Not a prop, but I use it often enough to reflect light onto a subject.
Oil drums from "Toxic Slime" or something like that. I picked them up at a grocery store. DreadnokDread tells me you can get them at dollar general.
Cones are from some 1:18 BMX/Outdoors sets I found at Wal-Mart.
Pallets are scratch made by scarrviper
Crates (2 different styles) by Falcon C. I have two larger ones, but they're part of a display.
Caution tape printed off the computer. Double sided.
Floor grate. Got this when my old job shut down. It's a shelf from a Red Bull cooler. Doesn't take paint for shit. :-/

A little reading and some coffee....good props for the start of the day.
When I signed up for this class, I was determined to be involved each week. Somehow, the weeks have come and gone, life has happened in between, and here I am, feeling desperately behind and out of touch. I know there's no pressure or guilt here, but nonetheless, I am disappointed in myself. I know there are still many weeks to come, so I hope to be able to get back in the swing of things! I do miss you all!
