Here is my view of the Fuji X-Pro2.

It is basically a street/travel shooter camera and one of the few cameras today with a range-finder. With a 23/1.4 (35 mm) it is very easy to scale focus making the auto focus redundant. The auto focus is really good when used, but cannot match proper manual focusing. When required the digital range-finder works just perfectly.

The bad things however are not many but on the other hand they are really bad. First up is the shutter lag. Raise the camera fast, press the shutter and... Nothing happens. You have to wait what seems forever before the shutter fires. You can hear some noise from the camera as it is doing something much more important than taking pictures. In fast situation this is not acceptable. This problem seems to be reduced using the EVF, but then again you can get a much cheaper X-T10. Hopefully Fuji will fix this in an upgrade. A work around is to constantly press the shutter button or keep your finger at it so that the shutter is ready when you need it. I also found that by disabled the digital range-finder this problem seems to go away. So the tip of the day is to just use the digital range-finder when you need it.

Most of the buttons on the backside may be disabled as you never will use them on a camera like this. But the biggest and most annoying joystick like button cannot. When holding the camera in your hand you will constantly touch it and then the focusing point will mover around. So again, when you lift the camera to the eye and need to focus, the range-finder is moved to another spot rather than the center. So please Fuji... Provide a settings to disabled ALL buttons, not some selected. Update! I found a way to disabled to stupid toy-stick on the backside, so now I fill happy again.

In all other situation this camera performs just perfectly. There may be some other issues such as the exposure compensation ring that is to easy to accidentally move. Some people have complaint about the adjustment ring for the viewfinder, but I personally didn't experienced any problem with it.

When shooting B&W you can set the camera at ISO 3200. The digital noise is no problem and it is somewhat grain like giving it an analog touch even directly from the RAW file. Don't use the built in grain setting as it will turn up really artificial. There are much better way to do this. The new ACROS settings is however nice and can be added to your RAW file in Lightroom in post processing, meaning you can still shot RAW.

If you have any other questions, just send me a mail and I will try to answer them as good as I can.

Short update... Sent back for service due to the shutter lag and sporadic hanging.
