A male Blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra) was marching in its natural habitat with a Royal attitude. The kingdom belongs to him and the steps are majestic looking against such lovely backdrop bokeh here. This unique composition is a visual pleasure to any Nature Lover around the World. A Stellar's Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) on the birdbath in our yard. This is an adult in it's prime, and has a wonderful full crest. It loves it's peanuts and must have made off with at least a dozen out of the feeder!
A male Red-crested Pochard (Netta rufina) was framed just in the prime moment of take off. The duck's both legs were in the air and wings full open while the majestic red crested head projecting in front like a rocket. It was real fast action sequence and I have managed to freeze the motion, panning in the prime time. The water droplets scattering by the action of ducks all around the pochard made it look fascinating. Pics was taken from Purbasthali wetland in Burdwan, West Bengal, India.

Having been somewhat thwarted by the sudden downpour earlier in the day, I was finally able to get the bridge shot I wanted as IAIS 6988 returned to Annawan on it's final excursion trip of the day. I skipped a bunch of other opportunities to intercept the Iowa Bolt just to get a prime shot here on the bridge. If only she were moving forward instead of backwards, but sometimes you just have to take what you can get.
I recently found this nice spot below Hardbrücke to view the Prime Tower in Zürich. Back then it was raining miserably, so I had to come back and get a better picture.
Taken in very dark conditions with the RF800mm lens which isn't renowned for its low light performance.
This is a very light variant and looked to be in good condition. There was another SEO sat on the adjacent post and this one dive bombed it, chasing it away before calmly circling round and alighting on the next post. Wonderful to see - although I sadly missed a shot of the action.

Right now, I have posted two - there will be at least 2 more.
We had a chance to chat with the owner while we were taking pictures. He said he was planning on tearing this house down. We suggested he have the local fire department burn it down. They do that in these parts as a training exercise.
They spend several days setting up drills, burning parts of the building, etc. Then when they've used the place up, they burn it down for you. Saves the wrecking costs, and you make good friends with the firefighters!
That's always handy when you have to call them for help when you've "fallen and you can't get up." For those of you from outside the US or if you're too young to get this reference, here ya go. youtu.be/myfGdhZtKa4
BTW, the FD WILL come out and help if this happens. We had to call them once for just this situation.

Smile on Saturday: "Dead or Dying Flowers"
These flowers are planted in the common area's in my neighborhood. I found one that was past it's prime.
I hear people complaining about winter already - although we still have another month to go before February, which is traditionally the prime time of winter blues. Looking for inspiration for this image taken on New Year's Day, I found a poem that sums up the mood pretty well - but made me smile none the less:
