This is NOT a doctored photograph. I was flying with Steve Stanfield during the 2005 PowerFest PPC Rally near Beaumont, Kansas. He did not know I was photographing him. I have 11 other shots with him in close proximity to the moon, but just happened to catch him perfectly centered in this one. There were several issues -- speed of flight of both planes, altitude, distance away from him, delay of digital camera when pressing the button, bump of my PPC in flight, fullness of the moon on that certain evening, enough light left in the day to illuminate Steve's chute, etc. I'd say with all those things considered, it was a very lucky shot indeed.

Dani and I were trying to get to the sugar cane fields before sunset as over, but we kept making location stops as we had several ideas for what we wanted.
When we got there, the sun had already passed over the visible horizon. This was my first time to a sugar cane field. It's not exactly what I expected. But it smells great there. Sugary mist in the air.
