apparently, the comment box has been removed. i don't know why. perhaps there is a limit to the number of photos that can be added in a single post? i'm more interested in views than comments for this one, so, in that respect, it is doing very well. oh, and, btw, i remain in solidarity with this movement only so long as it is not co-opted or hijacked by either of the two political parties in the duopoly.

 

UPDATE: Thanks to advice from Buddha's Ghost, I think the comment problem has now been solved.

This photo was also taken shortly after I arrived at Pershing Square Park. Like many marchers, they were chilling out, storing up energy so they'd be ready to make the march north towards City Hall.

On Saturday, February 11, a large immigrant-led coalition held a rally at Washington Square Park at 2pm to call out mayor Bill De Blasio and City Council members for an end to the city’s collaboration with ICE, a stop to the criminalization of all immigrants documented or undocumented, people with criminal convictions, workers, gender non-conforming folks, the poor, people with disabilities, Muslims, women, and all people of color and permanently abolishing the Broken Windows policing.
