Possibly in the Ongava Private Game Reserve

I'm not politically minded but the caption fitted the image of a person lying on the sign outside this office block, wanted to ask him why he chose this platform for a rest but thought against it!

Possibly Dichochrysa prasina. Handheld focus stack of a wild and free specimen. Essex, UK.

Possibly confused by the locomotive identity crisis, the sheep scatter as 45699 'Galatea' - notionally decorated as 45627 'Sierra Leone', but still sporting the cabside numbers of 45562 'Alberta', climbs away from Armathwaite through Baron Wood with the 1Z54 'Dalesman' 15:24 Carlisle to Lancaster of the 10th of August 2021.

Anyway whatever the number the locomotive looked and sounded superb in the fine summer conditions and it was very nice to bump into fellow Flickerites Ian Cawthorne and David Price amongst others at this location.

10th August 2021.

Possibly the only church with both an alabaster lectern and an altar made from Blue John.

Alas, due to Covid-19 blah blah blah, it wasn’t open.

Aside from a slight correction to converging verticals and a vanity signature this is pretty much straight out of camera.

Wednesday 3 Dec 2020, sadly this lovely church was engulfed in flames...arson suspected but not proven at this point.

Possibly some kind of Coreopsis here, with Rudbeckia wasting away in the background. I don't really know nature.

Wishing all a fine weekend ahead.

Possibly our commonest hoverfly, I just liked the colours in this shot.

Possibly one of my favourite images from my visit to White Rock Beach in the Wairarapa. For a midday shot I was pleased with the colours, the blue sky and black sand coupled with the power of the water receding and battling against the next incoming wave.

Possibly my favourite photo from the trip, just worked out perfectly for me! youtu.be/18G-Q5n3yJk

Possibly not the most iconic photograph of the Stockholm skyline but that’s what I’m offering today.

Possibly Spiral Wrack seaweed - I'm not an expert at seaweed identification.

Loe Beach, Cornwall.

Heavily retouched, maybe taken too far, it almost looks like a painting now...

Possibly the best beach in New Zealand?

Possibly the most famous railway viaduct in England, Ribblehead dates from around 1870 and is a key part of the Carlisle to Settle railway line. There are a number of smaller viaducts along the route, and dozens of workers died during its construction. Many of these are buried in the churchyard at nearby Chapel-le-Dale.

Possibly Opisthoncus alborufescens

Scone, NSW

Possibly Bovine Bolete, Jersey Cow Fungus, needs I.D.

Possibly young female Painted Bunting

Possibly the most black and white full colour photo I've taken. There's hardly any processing on this shot, mainly subduing the highlights on the sand on the left.

Buona serata :)

Possibly the best combination yet discovered.

Possibly some kind of Sage

Possibly the most fascinating birds I saw on my visit, a squadron of American Avocets in breeding plumage alights in shallow water among Dunlins. It was fascinating to see these birds skim the water surface in search of marine invertebrates with their signature scything behavior. See additional photo in comment. Admired at Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge, Delaware.

Possibly a tawny grisette, Amanita fulva.

Laowa 100mm macro, single frame.

Possibly Cortinarius ochroleucus. The whitish/ivory cap is unusual in a Webcap. Growing in deciduous woodland. C. ochroleucus is not uncommon in Salcey Forest..

Possibly the most photographed view of probably the most photographed mountain in the UK - Buachaille Etive Mor - but it's hard to resist so here's one of my attempts at it.

I've now started a page on facebook here - if you like my images please follow me on there too. Thank you.

One of its faces, showing many faces in the same frame. The Liverpool Street area is possibly the most diverse part of the Square Mile.

Possibly the most dangerous thing you can do in Thailand. We let this man across as he had been waiting in the middle for some time

De estos últimos días que los cielos nos han dado estas espectaculares nubes

Probably a leaf cutter Bee inspecting my Bee hotel

possibly Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa.

Showing about 5cm from top to bottom. Including a tiny mite or spider (top centre).

Poole

Possibly in northern Sweden near Kiruna they can have the joy of celebrating a white Christmas the rest of Sweden is hardly any snow at all. Therefore, I now pick up a small nugget from my photo archive (from 2010).

Kvarnarp, Adelöv, Tranås - Sweden

Possibly the most difficult shot i have taken, only a small window with patio door cracked open, bushes and stems

possibly a pteromalid, a hyperparasitoid of a platygastrid wasp - thanks to bugguide.

Thank you to everyone who visits, faves, and comments.

Possibly a third year bird. Afraid cloud & rain was so bad in Gibraltar we never got off the ship

Possibly Nematopogon metaxella, I love these tiny gold winged moths. It raises all sorts of questions about how easy it can be to fly with them, they must surly get in the way, and on a windy day like this was it must be quite an issue. I also love their wacky cartoon like eyes. View large.
