Gaze into the woods,
lose yourself in the allure
-- live and find magic.
Once again, I find myself searching the woods for those little pockets of light and those noble giants that offer us a portal to another world. Taken from the woods at Harris Neck, Georgia.Wishing everyone a wonderful Tuesday. Thanks for the favs and kind words. They are much appreciated!

Genral Motors has moved out the RenCen, a buliding they own, and moved to another building in downtown Detroit where they rent offices. Now they want to tear down two of the four towers for redevelopment...and they want public money to do it.
Trying hard not to judge, I have seen how empty and lacking in life the building is, but their position is give us the money to redevelop or we will sell it and some purchaser will tear the entire building down.

Each of these doors caught my eye as I wandered through the winding streets of Verona, each one whispering its own story. I was drawn to the textures and colors that speak of age, character and quiet pride in craftsmanship. Capturing them together felt like stitching a patchwork of the city's soul into a single frame.

Another piece of artwork in Lefkada's lagoon. While the one I uploaded yesterday was showing clearly some hovering seagulls or something similar, I can't even imagine what these "doors" are supposed to be. But to be honest I don't really care as long as they look really cool in a photo!
and where the air opened,
for the moment, where
blazing windowlight
was all there was
to see, where what left
the body left an absence
that filled us with longing,
there a shadow fell,
a silence, a deep sorrow
we were numb to feel,
at first, but which now,
years later, we understand
we, too, will give to others
when we leave

The walls of Dubrovnik have many windows and portals showing views such as these.
I couldn't decide on which ones to put up, so I did them all as a montage.
A closer view of the mysterious "Upright deck chairs/doors/windows/what??" artwork in Lefkada's lagoon. As I've already said I don't care what it's supposed to be, since it makes some very interesting photos!
