Pretty, tiny Pom Pom Flowers that are part of the Chrysanthemum family. They grow to a height of about six inches and come in different shades of pink with yellow centres.
Interesting and exotic looking clusters of yellow and red flowers that I found up in the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden, a marvelous place to visit with lots and lots of fascinating things to see.

Cosmo, a corgi-pom, at the Othello Kettle Valley Railway tunnels at Hope, B.C. Looked like a larger sized papillon. Very sweet dog! I tried to get several shots of him, and while he's partially blocked here by his family, I like that he's peeking through at me in this shot, alert at everything that's going on.

I placed a couple of layers of lavender mesh from a bath scrubby in front of the lens. I also increased the camera's Exposure Value for high-key effect. Natural light, it's gray and cloudy today with rain on the way. : )
Lybia tessellata is a species of small crab in the family Xanthidae. It is found in shallow parts of the tropical Indo-Pacific Ocean. Like other members of the genus Lybia, it is commonly known as the pom-pom crab or boxer crab because of its habit of carrying a sea anemone around in each of its claws, these resembling pom-poms or boxing gloves. L. tessellata is a small crab growing to a width of about 2.5 cm (1 in). The carapace is trapezoid in shape and the margin has a distinct tooth-shaped projection on either side, just behind the short-stalked eye. The surface of the carapace is marked into several differently coloured, geometric regions by a network of dark lines giving it the appearance of stained glass. (Wikipedia)
