We had some seriously cold day here in Toronto area. Took a few pix last Sunday, which was -15C. Duncan creek, North York, Ontario, Canada

I had to google this.....makes sense to me. A dead fish carcass will float, causing an array of problems, including stink. If the gases are removed by poking the eyes, the carcass will sink to the bottom and be eaten by various bottom feeders.

An American Oystercatcher pokes and prods a large shellfish, making it roll.

I bought a beautiful piece of Ahi Tuna and made poke, a hawaiian dish using raw Ahi Tuna. The last step is to add the green onions.
