Also #76/122 Pens or Pencils: 122 Pictures in 2022

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !

Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Looking Close on Friday is : pencil points ! Yes, there is an exclamation point since this theme deserve it ! I love pencils and I love pencils points !

While searching for the perfect pencil points, I stumbled upon this red flying pencil, trying to kiss his old grey lover… So I grabbed my camera and took a picture just before the whole scene disappeared and the red pencil flied away in a blink of an eye…The moral of this story is dont blink or you might miss something! And other moral; dont drink alcohol while taking pictures or you might see some stuff that doesn’t make sense…

I wish you all a beautiful day !! See you later my friends !!

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!! And see you soon on Flickr !!

The so called simple subjects seem to be the hardest ones for me. These pencils behaved like divas. I'm learning a lot, I hope.

A multi-functional spatial concept combined with an aesthetically

impressive architecture and an ecologically well thought out infrastructure creates the ideal conditions for events for from 40 to 4,000 guests.

Puntas de Lápiz/Pencil Points (9 de Abril/April 9)

A long exposure, landscape image of rocks on the shore of Sunnyside Beach in Morayshire, Scotland.

An older image from the harbour in Flensburg! I found it to be a wonderful place. Since they keep "the points" there (traffic violations and such) I was pleased that there was so much more to this city. I would love to return there one day.

At 10,700 feet elevation the early morning temperature was 41 degrees (f). There were 15 bull elk grazing in a nice open setting.

This group lined up nicely as they went about the business of bulking up for the coming rut and following winter. A pretty good way to spend a July morning for this photographer.

I think this was a young princeling of a stag. He needs 12 points to be a Royal and 14 to be a Monarch. I'm told it was rather harsh judging him for just being a six pointer: after all it's not his fault. But when I had spotted a deerling (2 points) on a hillock close to the road I grabbed my long (crappy) lens and fired some shots at him, only to notice after a while that there were bigger antlers poking over the ridge and this chap emerged to stand on the skyline against black and white snowy mountains in the background. I thought I had hit the jackpot until I realised this was nothing like a Monarch of the Glen, that I wanted to bag.

My last upload of 2022 and another image from the Cornwall tour with Mark, Geoff and Shelly. 2022 has been mainly a series of many low points with very few highlights for me, but Cornwall was definitely the pinnacle and an opportunity to get away and do something for myself with good friends.

I’ve not posted a lot this year, in fact it’s been my second lowest output (a measly 57) since I joined Flickr way back in 2015. So, I’ll bypass all the fake New Year’s celebrations this weekend and dive head first into 2023 next week. As the song says… things can only get better!

See you all in 2023 and many thanks for all the support and comments throughout the year.

Cut into the rock opposite the room is a large cistern; there are also worn water channels at various points along the siq.

Been away over the holiday when all the "fun" with this site began and I must say I am not impressed. Has there been any communication form flickr?
