I have posted two photos of this scene in sequence ... this one ... a telephoto capture at 200mm and the other at 62mm. It was, of course, not a devil moon at all but really quite beautiful .... poetic license and all that and any excuse to include a link to a Creedence Clearwater song. :)

While taking an evening walk, I suddenly felt the moonlight shone down on me. Raising my head, I was wowed by the big, bright full moon hanging in the sky. What an excellent opportunity to shoot some moon images!
Toshogu Shrine (東照宮, Tōshōgū) is the final resting place of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate that ruled Japan for over 250 years until 1868.The shrine’s precinct consists of 55 buildings set in a poetic mist-laden forest. Grown from a single mausoleum, the complex is estimated to have cost the modern equivalent of 40 billion yen and required the manpower of over 400,000 carpenters, over the course of 17 months!

It's just an illusion, illusion, illusion
When I was a child, my dad asked if I ever had colourful dreams. I felt it like a silly question but thought about it more and more. Now, I'm sure that I usually dream in Black and White but rarely had dreams in colour.
Today, I asked the same question from my daughter aged 6. Surprisingly, she said, "I always have pinky dreams, Daddy."

* El Castillo de Medellín comenzó siendo un campamento romano en 74 d.C. En el siglo XIII se convirtió en una fortaleza medieval. Después de la reconquista del castillo en el año 1234 por Fernando III el Santo, perteneció a varios dueños durante el siglo XIV. El castillo lo reconstruyó el rey Enrique II, en el año 1357, si bien no alcanzó su forma definitiva hasta la segunda mitad del siglo XV. Entre los años 1475 y 1479, tomó parte a favor de Juana la Beltraneja al igual que la mayoría de la nobleza extremeña.
Se encuentra emplazado sobre una colina junto al río Guadiana. Fue declarado monumento histórico artístico y bien de interés cultural en 1931.

…El Castillo de Medellín, cual otro Arca Bíblico colocado en la cima de un montículo, es algo así como otro signo representativo de una historia que es fortaleza, que es heroísmo, que es religión, que es poesía, que es drama, que es cementerio, que sintetiza una gama de matices difícil de sintetizar en unas cuartillas periodísticas…

La España verde del Norte.
Evocación poético-histórica junto a una maravilla arquitectónica como es La iglesia de San Miguel de Lillo, en el Monte Naranco de Oviedo (Asturias) en una mañana lluviosa, mansa y dulce de agosto.
El tiempo allí, es así de caprichoso.
La iglesia prerrománica de San Miguel de Lillo dedicada a San Miguel Arcángel, fue mandada edificar hacia el 842 por el rey Ramiro I en el Monte Naranco, Oviedo. Se encuentra a escasos metros de Santa María del Naranco. Posiblemente es la que según la crónica Albeldense, este monarca mandó construir junto a sus palacios, con función de iglesia palatina.
Declarada por la Unesco Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 1985.
ROMANCE A SAN MIGUEL
(Fragmento)

...San Miguel lleno de encajes
en la alcoba de su torre,
enseña sus bellos muslos,
ceñidos por los faroles.

Arcángel domesticado
en el gesto de las doce,
finge una cólera dulce
de plumas y ruiseñores.
San Miguel canta en los vidrios;
efebo de tres mil noches,
fragante de agua colonia
y lejano de las flores.

San Miguel se estaba quieto
en la alcoba de su torre,
con las enaguas cuajadas
de espejitos y entredoses.

San Miguel, rey de los globos
y de los números nones,
en el primor berberisco
de gritos y miradores...

*BRIAN WAYFARER SALTA AL AGUA... Para F. P. El monitor portugués que tanta paciencia y amabilidad tuvo conmigo, animándome a saltar.
* Evocación poético-deportiva ante la Playa de Doña Ana en Lagos (El Algarve) . En esta imagen me podréis apreciar en un gesto de valentía arrojándome a las frías aguas del Atlántico. Fue toda una proeza que le debo a las sabias instrucciones del monitor de natación y a su ánimo para que saltase al mar desde la peña. Fue tan grato que aún guardo aquella sensación. Gracias, mi querido monitor deportivo de Lagos.

Parece, mar, que luchas

HOJAS AL VIENTO:
Splinky is a small man, a prisoner of the demon of solitude, who deals with his sadness by clinging to memories of the past that he gathers from a huge chest. He lives in the illusion that his old love still exists, and every day becomes more enamoured by a heap of old, lifeless things, but "Sírio" the guardian angel, will make our clown live in the present, he will be able to say goodbye to his past, and embark on a new life...

I don't have a favourite poem, so I thought I'd make my image to honour the famous poets in history, who put quill to paper so eloquently.
Queen of the hours, lies
Waiting for the wind,
To blow away the veil of time
Slowly now the threads of age
Pink carries with it the connotation of grace and elegance, as well as sweetness and poetic romance. It’s always nice to see flowers in full bloom with the morning dew on them.
I love every single color of roses
The gardeners have created
Beauty of a rose certainly
Cannot be understated
But the rose most special to me
You’ll find in poetry or prose
And that is my very favorite
Loveliest of all, the pink rose!
