Mother alligator coaxing one of her babies to join the others in the pod. I was watching as another alligator approached; the Mum eventually attacked the intruder - so protective. Cullinan conservation area, west of Houston, Texas. 3/9/23. Enlarge so the infant can be better seen in front of the mother's snout.

I can sit down and slip in the ear buds and begin to edit photos, listen to music, or listen to pod casts, my oh my 3 hours has slipped away again. All the music I listen to now is digital format as MP3 on the computer but the CD had a better feel for a frame.
Back again after few days. I took a few days off because sometimes Flickr is overwhelming and takes a lot of time out of my days. I just post no more than two photos a day because that.
I find Maple (Acer) seed pods more beautiful than the flowers it produces in spring. A maple leaf is on the coat of arms of Canada, and is on the Canadian flag. The maple is a common symbol 🍁 of strength and endurance and has been chosen as the national tree of Canada.
A pod of Killer Whales (Orcinus orca) swims in search of salmon or other prey along the west shores of Alaska near Juneau, U.S.A.
The male is easily identified by the tall, straight dorsal fin and this pod was observed during a recreational cruise to Alaska.

found some dried out seed pods in my garden from my canna lillies. They are so beautiful in this state so I popped them on the windowsill in this soft light. HMM y'all!

Na fotografii kocúr 742.368 v čele 11 vozňovej ucelenky dreva míňa obec Krívá a pozdĺž rieky Oravy sa plazí k Dlhej nad Oravou, kde priberie ďaľší náklad. Drevo z oravských lesov zväčša končí v Rumunskej stanici Stupini, neďaleko mesta Brasov, kde sídli nemecká firma Kronospan, ktorá sa zaoberá výrobou nábytku.

BTW: A week of having COVID and I'm so done with it. I dodged the bullet for 3 1/2 years and it finally caught me. I'm still testing positive at Day 8 but at least I'm feeling better, I'll be catching up soonest.
