Annick definitely was feeling like "Pocket" today and had fun playing dress up! Still no hair treatment, but more gentle brushing and lots of body and wave!

Julie, thank you so much for making this lovely Creation...it's perfection of Pocket.

A small pocket of light illuminates stopped westbound coal empties. The empties paused briefly to pick up locomotives from the local elevator, and the conductor is busy putting the train back together.

"White Pocket" is a distinctive rock formation in the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona USA.

Well worth the drive through sand and rocks!

This is in the "Arizona Strip", a section of Arizona north of the Colorado River (Grand Canyon) only accessible by crossing the Navajo Bridge north of Flagstaff or going through Nevada and/or Utah.

A cold front passes over downtown Jackson, Michigan on 9/5/2018.

On the remote Paria Plateau in Arizona's Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, White Pocket is a group of swirling, multicolored formations of Navajo sandstone, including domes, hoodoos, gullies and potholes. Arriving at White Pocket inside Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, you are initially struck by the contrast of white rock in smoothly rounded mounds and cliff edges, dotted with two imperial looking spherical beehives rock cones

Something a bit different from me creatively. I enjoyed taking a series of ignitions of an old lighter and found this was the best. Amazing what you can do in your own kitchen if you use some imagination.

As you can probably tell, I go to White Pocket quite a bit and it's one of my favorite places to take clients. A few days ago I was there with some fellow photographers and we had some nice evening light. The textures, swirls, and patterns of White Pocket are always so interesting. I would love to see a time-lapse video of how this place was formed!

Waterfall at Bucks Pocket State Park. This park was a great place to camp until it has been let to run down and is not supported as it should be.

Task 10: In your pocket

Young lizard in my daughter's hand :) She loves lizards, so she is always happy, when she can to take them in the hand and touch their delicate skin :)

The sand lizard (Lacerta agilis) is a lacertid lizard distributed across most of Europe and eastwards to Mongolia. It does not occur in the Iberian peninsula or European Turkey. Most of these lizards live in Eastern Europe. They are mostly common in Poland, Czech Republic, and countries around that area. The sand lizard has a light underbelly and a dorsal stripe: males tend to be darker and colour and turn partly or wholly bright green during the mating season. Sand Lizards can reach up to 25 cm (10 in) in length. It lives in the lowlands, in the forests, meadows, heathlands and sand dunes. They bask on rocks in the day and at night they go into their holes under ground. To protect themselves, they pop off their tails and bite the predators. The female Sand Lizard lays eggs in loose sand in a sunny location, leaving them to be incubated by the warmth of the ground. The sand lizard is one of European Protected Species (animals protected by law throughout the European Union).

Młoda jaszczureczka w ręku u mojej córci :) Ona bardzo lubi jaszczurki, więc zawsze się cieszy gdy ma okazję potrzymać takie zwierzątko i pogłaskać po delikatnej skórze :)

Jaszczurka zwinka (Lacerta agilis) – gatunek jaszczurki z rodziny jaszczurek właściwych. Z czasem odrasta do pierwotnej długości. W okresie godowym, czyli od kwietnia do czerwca, samce przybierają intensywną zieloną barwę. Ubarwienie tych gadów jest bardzo różne. Najczęściej grzbietem biegnie szeroka pręga, często przecinana drobnymi plamkami, chociaż można też spotkać osobniki bez niej. Maksymalna długość ciała samca z nieuszkodzonym ogonem, w Polsce dochodzi do 23,5 cm, ale w Europie wschodniej dochodzi nawet do 28 cm. Zwinka preferuje siedliska nizinne.

This chain was on the bocket watch in the previous pictures. I think it was original to the watch, but I have no way of verifying this.

It looks like the focus was on the material (wool) under the chain instead of the chain itself.

Having left Denver earlier in the day, Santa Fe 191 paused at Rio Grande's Colorado Springs depot on its run south to La Junta. The pint sized train consists of E8Am 81 (a regular staple of the run in the late 1960s), Baggage 3939 and a 28xx series Coach. Of note is 3939. The trucks the car is riding on are unique among Santa Fe passenger equipment. It was the only car in the fleet equipped with LFM/Rockwell lightweight trucks. Being a one-off, Santa Fe must not have been impressed enough to convert other cars. That said, they must have been satisfactory enough as the car rode on them for about five years. They would not be replaced until 1973/1974, by which time the car was in Amtrak ownership.

Now CF&E and CSX, the signals here are scheduled to come down soon as a new base for a cantilever is installed and masts for the north side are waiting to be erected.
