I bought the Midol tin and the rest was history... The wings are from a day-flying moth (Urania leilus). Her crown says "Cranky" and across her chest is the question, "Where's my chocolate?". 8x10

this is Blue, long haired dachshund from Italy but really she s from South Carolina...and this is a bad day!!
Most of the pictures I make are hand held. This one - and the one next it - I used the railing of the closed pier to support the camera. Once upon a time when the pier was open I was able to get more shots that way. When using the full 40X optical zoom, camera shake does get to be an issue.
What a night!! Went out last night to beautiful St Armand's Circle (Sarasota) and went to Tommy Bahamas for dinner. After my wife and daughter with Lewis went on their walk around the shops - code for more purchases - I went down to the beach to shoot some sunset photos.
Returned to the Circle and sat on a bench, people watching, awaiting the arrival of the purchases moved away from the bench for all of 30-seconds to find, on return, my camera had been "stolen"! After running around the Circle and awaiting for the sheriff our evening came to a bit of a dull end. Now beginning the insurance claim and off to the sheriff's office to collect the Case Report ..... can't believe it!
I am now using my new "early' birthday present my wife bought me at the beginning of our vacation - the great and wonderful Nikon D7000 - there is always something nice at the end of the rainbow.
After all our shopping - actually my wife's and daughter's shopping - thought this most appropriate for today's challenge.
