By the end of the 1950s, Fina's UK arm — renamed from Fina Petroleum Products Ltd to Petrofina (Great Britain) Ltd in 1957, with a new HQ building in Southwark — was expanding and keen to sign up further (solus) dealers, as demonstrated by this ad in Motor Industry magazine with its Sean Connery-esque ship's captain and illustration of a smart, modern Fina garage. The basic style of the sites was as illustrated in the 1952 image I posted a few months ago but with a more modern-looking separate canopy. The renaming of the corporate entity to Petrofina (in line with the Belgian parent company) was reported as being to "indicate more clearly that they are, as they have been since 1939 [when Cities Service / Citex was acquired by Petrofina], one of the international Petrofina group of companies". In 1990 exactly the opposite reasoning was given for changing the company's name back to Fina plc — "to identify more closely with their Fina-branded products".
I don't know what Fina's market share was in 1958 but by 1964 when the Monopolies Commission were investigating petrol supply in the UK, Fina was by some distance the smallest of the "big" companies, with 2.5% of the market, compared with Mobil's 5.9% and new entrant Jet's 3.5%.

SN55 BKX’s seating was altered from H49/31F to H48/31F circa early 2014 and was further altered from H48/31F to H44/30F later in the same year

Taken 25/06/23 in Southampton; Launched in 2019 'MV Red Kestrel' is a freight ferry built by Cammell Laird. MS Arvia is an Excellence-class cruise ship in service for P&O Cruises, a subsidiary of Carnival Corporation & plc. Built by German shipbuilder Meyer Werft in Papenburg, she was delivered on 9 December 2022 to P&O Cruises

Manchester Airport PLC: (YJ15 AWZ) an Optare Versa, painted in this fleet's now standard livery of green and two tone blue. This is one of a batch of new Euro 6 engine vehicles which have only just recently entered service with Manchester Airport on Internal services to the various car parks surrounding the Airport. This one is captured here departing from Terminal 3 on Service 5.

No.1 Angel Lane is an architecturally distinguished 525,000 sq.ft development occupying the largest area of open riverside space in the City of London. It forms the focal point of the new business district connecting the river and the heart of the City.
The sixth-floor terrace - the size of eight tennis courts - has unobstructed, panoramic views of the river Thames. It is open to staff and clients to eat al fresco during the summer months while enjoying the peace and tranquillity of the gardens, its water features and London's breathtaking scenery.
The formal gardens are planned and maintained by Tony and Matt of ISS Facilities Landscaping. With over 50 years' experience between them, the hedges, shrubs, herbaceous plants, ferns, herbs and grasses - as well as the lawns - are kept in pristine condition for employees and visitors to enjoy.
The kitchen garden measures 56ft by 20ft. Managed voluntarily by the switchboard team of Eileen, Linda and Tessa, it was cleared to make 12 vegetable beds. The team designed and drew up a growing plan, the seeds were started off from home and the garden came alive!
Now in its fourth year, with about 25 different varieties of vegetables and edible flowers, the garden provides an array of produce, enabling the chefs to pick fresh vegetables daily for client dining. The surplus is offered for sale to staff, with profits donated to charity.
During 2014 Nomura were awarded Best Large Garden at the Flowers in the City Awards. They were also awarded Outstanding Food Grower (Commercial) and Outstanding Contribution to City Green Spaces at the City in Bloom Awards 2015.
