I'm back from a couple weeks of little time for creativity & playing with a new texture I've been working on - not quite where I want it, but close.
Along with our busy holiday week-end, we also attended a friend's wedding on Saturday. My husband was the wedding photographer. I managed to snap a few along the way. This image is from our gift that we gave the couple. The wrapping paper I used had images of Victorian little girls playing dress-up. This is of the wedding image. I cut her out and glued it onto the wedding card envelope. I then added glitter spray to add some sparkle. I think she is so cute!
Frog playing death, after being discovered by one of our cats. He survived using this tactic ;-))
"Apparent death, colloquially known as playing dead, feigning death, or playing possum, is a behavior in which animals take on the appearance of being dead. This form of animal deception is an adaptive behavior also known as tonic immobility or thanatosis. Apparent death can be used as a defense mechanism or as a form of aggressive mimicry, and occurs in a wide range of animals."- Wiki

A fine evening spent photographing sand dunes at Death Valley National Park. It's incredible how light plays with numerous crests and ridges leading to some glorious compositions.

It's been hard for me to work for a while now. I decided to focus on making an image that described the surreal nature of my current reality, just being inside with my kids most days, day after day.

Oh, how I've missed the morning sun. It was a bit brisk to be lying on the ground to shoot this image but it was worth it.
When my son got married, the vases of flowers on the tables kept tipping over so I sacrificed my marble supply to keep the vases upright. I have a series of marble photos and need to replenish my stock. I want to hear everyone's stories about marbles.

I ruined film when it jammed in the camera and I made attempts to take it out and put it in another camera. upside down.
I decided to see what would happened when developed in the sun.

I don't remember Petra being such a leaper before Kimi came along. Now, even though she is not here anymore, he still puts great leaps into his play. He actually has a small toy between his front paws here. I'm sure Petra misses his furry kitten friends, but he makes do with toys and with Simon.
CP 645 heads over the trestle west of South Haven in the Clearwater River valley, just narrowly avoiding a cloudbang. I've always wanted a shot of this bridge, although it's a bit grown in now, the shot here is still quite nice. Apparently, if you see a car running here with what looks like nobody in it, you probably shouldn't look too far into it...
This monument dedicated to Fryderyk Chopin (Polish composer and virtuoso pianist) was founded by Maria Jarema and realized in 2006.
