World is full of microcosmoses, you just need to look closer.

Earlier on this year I took a shot of some teasels before they matured ( www.flickr.com/photos/kittywrinkle/3723181692/ ) Here are some after maturing.

Much better viewed large if you have time.

Found along a rocky shore of Lake Superior among mosses and other tiny plants. Photographed with off-camera flash.

The Humble Administrator's Garden has an entire section full of bonsai trees.

The Humble Administrator's Garden is one of the prized gardens in Suzhou (it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and was originally completed in 1526 and took 16 years to build. In ancient times, prominent Chinese men would retire and build huge gardens as a symbol of their wealth and taste. This garden was originally commissioned by Wang Xiancheng and was designed by Wen Zhengming.

The only remaining green plant in my father's house in Penang.

When Mum was alive, she filled the house with lots of these and other plants. She had a very green thumb indeed.

Haven't a clue what these were, but liked the photo anyway. And perhaps they're nuts.
