Nothing on a planetary scale, just a fragment of a sphere.
Majestic nothingness, there is neither the eternal "makeshift" Eiffel Tower, nor the greatest marvel of Italian marketing - the ever-falling bell tower. Luckily that's not all! And still thousands of people do not crowd and sell hot dogs. Not yet.. ) What a blessing that there is NOTHING !

In meteorology, a cloud is an aerosol consisting of a visible mass of minute liquid droplets, frozen crystals, or other particles suspended in the atmosphere of a planetary body or similar space. Water or various other chemicals may compose the droplets and crystals. On Earth, clouds are formed as a result of saturation of the air when it is cooled to its dew point, or when it gains sufficient moisture (usually in the form of water vapor) from an adjacent source to raise the dew point to the ambient temperature. They are seen in the Earth's homosphere, which includes the troposphere, stratosphere, and mesosphere. Nephology is the science of clouds, which is undertaken in the cloud physics branch of meteorology. There are two methods of naming clouds in their respective layers of the homosphere, Latin and common. Genus types in the troposphere, the atmospheric layer closest to Earth's surface, have Latin names due to the universal adoption of Luke Howard's nomenclature that was formally proposed in 1802. It became the basis of a modern international system that divides clouds into five physical forms which can be further divided or classified into altitude levels to derive ten basic genera. The main representative cloud types for each of these forms are stratus, cirrus, stratocumulus, cumulus, and cumulonimbus. Low-level clouds do not have any altitude-related prefixes. However mid-level stratiform and stratocumuliform types are given the prefix alto- while high-level variants of these same two forms carry the prefix cirro-. Genus types with sufficient vertical extent to occupy more than one level do not carry any altitude related prefixes. They are classified formally as low- or mid-level depending on the altitude at which each initially forms, and are also more informally characterized as multi-level or vertical. Most of the ten genera derived by this method of classification can be subdivided into species and further subdivided into varieties. Sh2-274 is a planetary nebula in the Gemini constellation, roughly 1500 light years from earth.
Image acquisition details:
24x300" HA
26x300" OIII
30x120" Red
30x120" Green
30x120" Blue
I imaged this at 3000mm focal length because it’s only a mere 7.8 seconds of arc in diameter.
One of the downsides of imaging at this focal length is that the seeing conditions have to be good and, unfortunately, they weren’t on this night.
Canon EOS 6D @ ISO 6400.
105x15 sec unguided subs with calibration frames added.
Celestron C11 at f10.
Tracked on a Skywatcher AZ-EQ6 mount.
Imaged from suburbia.
Processed in APP and finished off in LR.

Standing by the sea, I look out into infinity.
My gaze sweeps from left to right, and I can see almost 180 degrees. With my own eyes, I can observe the curvature of the horizon. I’ve come face to face with the planet.
It does something to you, to see it with your own eyes, this incomprehensible scale of the ocean. It's liberating. You let go of left-brain knowledge and lose yourself in awe.
Our ancient ancestors all the way back to the first animals have been seeing oceans just like this, and if there are other living worlds out there, they may have similar watery expanses.
Standing by the sea, I feel the oneness of it all. I feel connected to eternity.
Absolutely thrilled to photograph Venus, Jupiter and Mars this morning! We had hazy cloud but could still make out Mars with the naked eye ;0)

Alviso is a small Silicon Valley town, located at the San Francisco Bay in California. I went there for sunset and to take photos of the seven planets that lined up for a rare "planetary parade" on Friday. It was too cloudy to see the planets, but we got nice backlit clouds after sunset.
I processed a balanced, a paintery, and a photographic HDR photo from three RAW exposures, blended them selectively, and carefully adjusted the color balance and curves. I welcome and appreciate constructive comments.
