Found an old magnet in the sewing kit and began to see how many pins Etc that I could balance on it. In the end I attached far more items than this but I liked the colour and simplicity of this particular photo.
'Magnets' for 'Smile on Saturday'.

Needles and Pins (2002 Remaster) Ramones
Retoma el amor y un día sabrás
ponerte de rodillas y sentir
agujas y alfileres en el corazón
que hieren, lastiman y duelen....
Agujas y alfileres en el corazón
Take back love and one day you will know
get on your knees and feel
needles and pins in the heart
that hurt, hurt and hurt ...
Needles and pins in the heart
mettiti in ginocchio e senti
aghi e spilli nel cuore
che fa male, fa male e fa male...
Aghi e spilli nel cuore

May 2023: I was very excited to hear that the Pin-tailed Wydah had been seen again in Singapore this year. Great weather this morning enabled everyone to get great pics of the courtship display. Truly stunning to photograph and observe.
“The male performs superb courtship displays during which the spectacular long tail plays an important role. It performs an aerial mating dance with hovering flight above the female during which the tail is flicked up and down while it sings continuously. It performs circular flights while dancing and vibrating. Displays occur low over the ground”

Macro Monday's and the theme of "Pins".
A straightforward photo this week. I decided to focus on the pins of a Compact Flash card reader, It was slightly easier than using my Nikon D200 as a subject where the pins are quite recessed inside the camera. The card reader also has a blue light that illuminates when it is plugged in.
Compact flash cards are the reason I mainly use a lead to connect the camera too my laptop. I had heard stories when I first got my Nikon D70 of the possibility of pins getting bent in the CF card port so to this day I am still in the habit of using a lead.

My small flask that holds ashes, what ashes, not sure, but since it is dust to dust and ashes to ashes, when things seem out of place or crazier than normal I touch the flask or at times sprinkle some to get the perspective of it really isn't that bad. Always visible in the corner of the pin board, just an ever reminder to make the most of this day.
Pin Mill image on a misty day, edited in Photoshop to remove the land on the other side of the estuary.
The Helsingør Pigegarde - Elsinore Girls Marching Band (Denmark) performed at the Rose Parade in Pasadena on New Year's Day and gave a special performance for MonteCedro the next day. Less than a week later, Altadena was devastated by the Eaton Fire. I am leaving a few links to their performances and their pictures here at MC are in my portfolio. They gave is these cute pins to remember them.

Here's one of those exotics native to Africa but established in SoCal. Not my best image, but it's this month's. Doesn't really show off how LONG that tail really is. It's actually a very small bird, much smaller than a House Sparrow. This one still wears the flashy breeding colors and sports the long tail. When they're in top form, the male does an air dance in front of a perched female that is just delightful. BTW, location San Dimas not San Jose CA.
