I don't need no arms around me

And I don't need no drugs to calm me

I have seen the writing on the wall

Don't think I need anything at all

"Echoes" is another piece of digital art inspired by the Pink Floyd song of the same name.

"Echoes" is one of my favourite Floyd tracks and holds great memories for me, it always seemed to be the music we played as teenagers at the end of a big night, so it always makes me think of a darkened room with friends sitting around in bean bags, listening.

My favourite version to listen to is from the 1972 film "Live at Pompeii" (see Youtube link below) which I remember seeing multiple times at cinemas with friends during my university years.

"Echoes" is twenty-three and a half minutes long and occupied the whole second side of the "Meddle" LP.

The Meddle LP cover image represents an ear underwater, collecting waves of sound (represented by concentric ripples in the water).

Some of the lyrics inspired the colour scheme.

"And deep beneath the rolling waves

In labyrinths of coral caves

The echo of a distant time

Comes willowing across the sand

And everything is green and submarine"

Created in both Photoshop and Procreate, and again using the beautiful Procreate brushes from Alaina Jensen.

The famous Battersea Power Station, Pink Floyd "Animals" album cover location

Day after day, love turns grey

Like the skin of a dying man.

Night after night, we pretend its all right

But I have grown older and

You have grown colder and

Nothing is very much fun any more.

And I can feel one of my turns coming on.

I feel cold as a razor blade,

Tight as a tourniquet,

Dry as a funeral drum.

our band gr8 played a party last night and lo and behold, in the garden was one of the huge inflatable pigs that pink floyd used in one of their stage shows years ago...i think its presence made our version of 'money' go just that little bit better...

THE PINK FLOYD EXHIBITION:

THEIR MORTAL REMAINS

(Corrected Year In Poster)

Monday, November 25, I am doing something a bit different instead of my regular set. I am calling it "Pink Floyd's The Wall Remixed & Reimagined"

Several years ago someone gave me an idea of doing something like the Pink Floyd laser shows from RL. Working from that, and with a lot of help, I came up with something that I hoped would be fun both musically and visually. I am going to do this one more time, this time to raise money for battle Alzheimer's Association. November is Alzheimer's Awareness month. I am going to do two performances to give people from different times zones a chance to attend.

Je ne sais pas comment elle se sent mais elle m'a fait penser à cette chanson "Summer '68" de l'album "Atom Earth Mother" des Pink Floyd.

I don't know how she feels but she made me think of this song "Summer '68" from Pink Floyd's "Atom Earth Mother" album.

I can't prepare good food without good music, so I let Pink Floyd take part in creating a tasty chili con carne.

We don't need no thought control
