My picture of the tulips appeared some months ago in a new british photo-magazine PhotoPlus, but it was only yesterday that I received a copy.
The mag descibes 25 'tips and tricks' to improve your images. My picture is shown as an example about the use of colours.
It's a nice edition and it even contains a 6 page special about Flickr!

I shot 40's Hollywood Glamour this year at the PDN Photoplus Expo at the Javits Center, NYC for Expoimaging.
Other photogs in the booth were Rick Friedman, Bobbie Lane, Erik Valind, and Jeff Rojas: a stellar lineup to be sure!

I went to my first PhotoPlus Expo at the Javits Convention Center. I resisted the urge to buy anything, but it was cool to see a lot of shiny new gear on display.
As usual there was a super big turnout for the NYC PDN photography convention on Saturday. Nikon and Canon have very impressive 'booths' and here are the folks waiting for renowned photog Joe McNally to give his presentation.
The (Expo) show is very gear orientated and all the manufacturers are there, showing their guns! My personal highlights were:
The Fujifilm Booth. What a great selection of cameras they have now. I got my hands on the new X30 (I have the X20), and all their range of cameras. Their staff were also so helpful. I am sure my next purchase will be a Fuji. They also had a big part of their booth dedicated to their awesome Instax line of cameras.
I got to meet Derrick Story, the man behind all things 'The Digital Story', also a podcast I very much look forward to every week and who was presenting at the lynda.com booth. He gave a good presentation on social media interraction for photogs. Thanks Derrick
The Lytro booth. These folks have got some futuristic ideas about photography and I loved seeing their progress.
I saw that Hasselblad had a digital back for their film cameras..I just kept moving along...
There are a lot of speakers and seminars in addition to just wandering around the floor like I did, so there is something for everyone.
