From a new project which will be looking at the urban environment in a sightly different way. The idea is to look at the Urban Landscape from different perspective, to abstract the detail, look at things completely out of context or in odd juxtapositions.
a) I took a picture of a very tall tree from a different perspective. The bottom half of the tree didn't have any leaves on it, but the top half had many yellow leaves. I took the image from an upward angle so that you could see the two different parts of the tree. I think it is a creative example of the Fall because it shows how all trees are different and they all change at their own pace during the Fall.
b) If I had to re-take this photo again, I would have taken it in a different angle so that I didn't get the branch on the right side in the shot because it is distracting and out of place.
"Stepping into someone else's shoes" and looking at how another person sees the world allows one to understand his or her actions and choices."
This picture is a "wheat paste" poster by street artist "Eyesore." Galleries sell his work, and I was so caught by it that I had to pull over and for a photograph, but the city's Grafitti Abatement Dept. considers it a nuisance and a crime. Does this kind of "guerrilla art" improve our city, or diminish it? Is it vandalism, or is it art?
Perspective allows one to understand another's actions, without necessarily having to agree to them or support them. Mrs. Dubose was so hateful to Jem and Scout that it's easy to see her as an evil character, but Atticus' explanation of her (legitimate) morphine addiction gives insight into her actions. It doesn't make her more likable, but it makes her less "hate-able."
I found the combination of the sign and the lined-up garbage cans amusing. The garbage can students are lined up to go to garbage can school to learn how to be garbage cans.

She just started "Learn to Skate" lessons, and she loves it! I was taking photos of her during her lesson, but loved this "details shot" of her trying to get the skates off after class.
It has been an incredibly long wait and everything seemed so painful, and insurmountable. I never knew what worked and what did not. But today, I knew things were not the same. As I looked at the truck today, I knew it was just a toy and how you view things changes your entire perspective. Today I get to celebrate with my friends, as I have a job offer after a long long wait :)
Here is my submission for the Oxford Flickr Exhibition. Geotagged for the top shot since it's the less obvious location!
Two different perspectives on Oxford: A Bridge to nowhere on the edge of the flooded Angel and Greyhound Meadow and Light at the end of the tunnel on Brasenose Lane as seen from Radcliffe Square.

I didn't notice when I took this photo, but when I viewed it again this morning, the following poem from my favourite poet came out of my mind:
「橫看成嶺側成峰, 遠近高低各不同。 不識廬山真面目, 只緣身在此山中。」
- 蘇軾 (1037-1101)
We all see things differently. Even though we are at the same place at the same time, we can have totally different views on things around us. (please zoom in to see the sculpture.) Next time when you are mad at somebody or you want to argue with someone, think about this picture :)
