Still too busy to keep up to speed with my photography but had a good day out at the Manchester Day parade. Street shots are so easy at events like this.
Ever since I was a kid growing up during the sixties seeing street performers in New York City parks and sidewalks has been an integral part of the city's cultural life. I tend to appreciate than most people as in my time I have enjoyed music from Cajun music, country music venues, operas to body slamming people to heavy metal and punk music in mosh pits. Although the last part I haven't done since the eighties because at my age I prefer to comfortably sit.
Ngoma is considered a legend in the spoken word community, and has garnered numerous accolades and awards.
He plays several instruments including the violin, flute and didgeridoo--which he incorporates in his riveting spoken word performances.
He refers to himself as a : "Paradigm Shifter"
