After I came up with "Color From the Heart" I tried one other mix with the objective of keeping the cool color gradients but in a simplified format. I mixed "Pepper Art - 9 Frames w/Color" with "Pepper Polka Dots - This Week's Bonus Pic" and the texture from the kevlar speaker cone and that was it, at last I was done. This is what I wanted all along and no further mixing of the pepper will occur, this is it: "Pepper - The End" The images used to make this are in the first comment, enjoy and thank you, have a great Sunday.

Happy Macro Monday!

This week's theme: Condiments

A trip to the farmers market.

Merry Christmas to all Flickr friends.

Thank you for taking the time to look, the comments and faves.

Pepper on this Perch is exhibiting his Passive-Aggressive side because that perch really truly belongs to Tikki. I think this may be the first time I've ever seen him up there. It is in some ways a good thing as he has lost some weight and he has the energy to get up there. (Losing weight is good, doing it this quickly is a bit troubling but his specialty vet got blood work earlier this week and it was perfect.) Oh yes, the Happy Caturday theme 17 October 2020 is 'Catphabet."

New! Mini Challenge # 236 ~ The Award Tree ~

HMM

I bought these for the family to eat but thought they were rather photogenic so put them in a glass bowl and took their photo.

These are not really red. They're green with a Midika red filter in place.

Saturday Self Challenge

This week's challenge then is to show two things which are different, yet largely the same. For example two forks that don't match, two different types of yellow car, maybe a pair of different coloured socks from a matching set. Collage or a single image is fine. As ever new photos please.

This was one of those ideas that in my mind seemed simple but turned out to be quite difficult to pull off. I decided after taking photos of the ground pepper and the complete peppercorns in separate containers that they would look probably look better in the same one. That was when the trouble started, trying to get them not to mix. In the end I folded a small piece of aluminium foil and placed it across the middle of the wooden bowl. I carefully filled from each side and then just before I was ready to take the pictures I carefully removed the foil barrier. I did end up with a couple of stray peppercorns getting into the ground up side, but I would have caused too much of a mess attempting to remove them. I do hope it’s suitable for the challenge.

Thank you for your visit and your comments, they are greatly appreciated.

Potted Black Pepper growing in the garden. A native plant here in the state of Kerala, it is the world's most traded spice, and is one of the most common spices added to cuisines around the world. It is ubiquitous and is often paired with salt and available on dining tables in shakers or mills. The plant is actually a vine and is a common sight here and often seeing growing up the stems of large trees in the older landed properties. I have quite a few growing up a Jackfruit tree. It is also available in potted form.

I STILL FEEL SO GREEN? AAW, don't blush...

The colour transition of the two bell peppers!

Two Bell peppers, also known as sweet pepper.

The terms "bell pepper", "pepper" or in Australia and New Zealand "capsicum", are often used for any of the large bell shaped fruits, regardless of their colour.

In British English, the fruit is simply referred to as a "pepper" or by colour (as in the term "green pepper", for example), whereas in many Commonwealth Nations, such as India, Canada, and Malaysia, they are called "bell peppers".

Across Europe, the term "paprika", which has its roots in the word for pepper is used—sometimes referred to by their colour.

Paprika also refers to the powdered spice made from the fruits in the Capsicum genus.

In Switzerland it is mostly called "peperoni", which is the Italian name of the fruit.

In France, it is called "poivron", with the same root as "poivre" (meaning "pepper") or "piment".

I wish you all the very best and thank youfor all your kind words, time, comments and faves. Very much appreciated. M, (*_*)

When Pepper work me up thursday morning, I tried to take his photo with the iPhone in the dark but it didn't work - he turned away from the flash before the shot was taken. Since I was up a bit early already, I got up, turned on the light and "went back to bed" (still with the iPhone), allowing me to capture what I see when he starts up with the loud purrs and tickling my face with his whiskers. Those are long whiskers. They really tickle. He also doesn't know what is a weekend vs. a weekday. At least one of the good things about the shortening days after the summer solstice is, I get a few more winks of sleep as every sunrise edges a bit later. Um, this is Happy Caturday 29 August 2020, Morning Routine.
