Happy Saturday my dear friends!!! I hope all is well. Doing something different today with a fashion and home decor post all in one! Featuring, [Cynful], Chez Moi, KraftWork, booN, & Kalopsia! I posted the B+W version of this photo several weeks ago with a much smaller crop. This is the color version and the crop I was thinking of doing before being talked into going for a wider view.
People spend hours making these intricate designs on the street only to have them destroyed when religious parades go by. Once the parades have passed by, they immediately begin to create another design for the same thing to happen all over again.
Sometime happens to find some people so interesting and fascinating that is impossible not to dedicate them a burst of photos. This girl is one of the refugees in Leh, Ladakh, northern India, she was sitting in the market with her mother, begging for money. I was far away from her, armed with my zoom when I decided to frame just her face while she was looking away, looking something else than a photographer with a big camera. Guess I got my photo, or not?

I still remember as a boy our family and friends traveling to this area and we would dig a hole in the ground and place a large pot of a famous Portuguese Cozido under the ground and coming back in a few hours and extracting it fully cooked. Today you can't do that anymore, they now have people that do that for a living and you just tell them a time your planning to eat and it will be ready for you at a nearby restaurant.
