Dal 1977 la manifestazione si tiene annualmente la prima domenica del mese di settembre rinnovando un'antica tradizione medioevale. La corsa prevede due batterie e una finale, su cavalli montati a pelo di bove dai fantini. Il Giuramento dei Capitani è l'evento che dà inizio al Palio e si tiene circa un mese prima. Plérin-sur-Mer, situé à l’ouest de Saint-Brieuc
La plage des Rosaires de Plérin sur Mer est vaste et elle est longée d’une belle esplanade.
The beautiful Rosaires beach located west of Saint-Brieuc. The esplanade/promenade is separate from the beach by a protecting wall made of granite.

Our trip to California has been delayed for a few days, so I thought I'd post a few more South Haven Lighthouse photos before we leave. As is evident on this photo, this is a popular place for people to visit, even in winter!

After closing the tram network in the mid-1960s, the people of Istanbul thought this old fashioned method of smooth city traveling had been removed, and transport within the city would move faster than before, but this proved false some years later. The uncontrolled increase of petrol vehicles such as buses, taxis, and private cars started choking the streets of Istanbul.
Around 1990, the Istiklal Caddesi became a pedestrian zone, and the tram was restored and revived in 1990, in the form of the Taksim-Tünel Nostalgia Tramway. After a 24-year absence, trams returned to Istanbul. The length of the line is 1.64 kilometers
Annecy Venetian Carnival
As every year, more than 300 Venetian masks and costumes strolled freely through the streets of old Annecy and on the ledge of the lake. No one knows who is behind these sumptuous and wonderful costumes and masks.
Nicknamed the Venice of the Alps because of its beauty and its canals, the city of Annecy welcomes perfectly this carnival which takes place over 3 days.

It seems this couple is dancing to the music of the ocean, on the beach of Matosinhos, near Porto, Portugal
Le phare2 a été construit, à partir de 1849 sur des plans de l'architecte Léonce Reynaud, pour remplacer l'ancien phare de 29 mètres construit en 1682 sur les directives de Vauban et qui subsiste encore aujourd'hui au nord du phare. La mise en service eut lieu en 1854. Le phare est haut de 57 mètres et l'accès au sommet se fait par un escalier hélicoïdal de 257 marches.
