Gathered my supplies and picked out floss colours. Now I'm ready to stitch the pattern I bought, Baked with Love - Valentine's Treats PDF Hand Embroidery Patten, Wild Olive.
This is a vest that I designed, and the pattern is available on my website.
This knit vest with simple shaping is easy enough for a beginner. Worked on size 13 needles using my lovely thick-and-thin Hand-dyed Scandia wool yarn. It is worked in one piece to underarms, then divided for fronts and back. No seaming! The shoulders are worked together using a 3-needle bind-off, which is explained in the pattern.
Original knitting pattern. Designed to fit the 18” American Girl or similar dolls with an 11” chest circumference.
Helena is a lace cardigan with set in sleeves and deep ribbing accents at hip, sleeve cuffs and the over-sized collar. It’s knit in one piece from the bottom up until the armholes, and the button bands are worked as you go to reduce the need for seaming and finishing at the end. Pattern calls for 1 skein of Knit Picks Stroll fingering weight, or suitable substitute yarn.
The lace stitch pattern is provided in both written and charted format to suit your preference.
