PKP Cargo International Br183-719 is seen here approaching Dolní Zálezly station, Czech Republic, whilst working a southbound coal train.
During the middle of June 2022 the main line between Přerov and Břeclav saw some sections of the overhead wires disconnected from the power source in preparation for the switch from 3kV CC to 25kV AC. The various TOCs operating on the route deployed the diesel locos at their disposal, such as this PKP Cargo International train taken near Hulín (CZ), on its way to Břeclav.
PKP Cargo International 183 719 departs from Budapest-Kelenföld with a string of loaded CZ-PCI and CZ-AWTR Eas wagons on May 17, 2023, 12:25. The train had earlier arrived from the line from Gyor and Austria, changed direction and now continued south. It could be coming from a coal mine in Silesia and going to the ISD steel plant in Dunaújváros.

PKP Cargo International "Goggle" diesels 753 725-1 and 753 726-9 (also with European Vehicle Numbers CZ-PCI 92 54 2 753 725-1 and CZ-PCI 92 54 2 753 726-9 respectively) stand in the yard at Sumina at the head of a rake of box wagons, assumed to be for coal.
This was taken on the fourth and final day of the Branch Line Society "The Silesian Explorer", just after the loco had run round; we had not been permitted to cross any tracks (except at the official crossing) until then.
PKP Cargo International s.a. is a Czech company, originally OKD Dorava a.s. and later Advanced World Transport a.s. (AWT). PKP Cargo bought eighty per cent of the company's shares in 2014, but five years later purchased the remaining twenty per cent; at this point, the company was renamed again to reflect the PKP ownership - and it can be seen that the company name on the front is applied as a sticker over the old one (and, if one looks closely, traces of the old AWT branding can be seen on the side). The orange and dark grey livery is AWT colours. Sumina is relatively close to the Czech border.
The ČSD (Czechoslovak Railways) class T478.3 locos were built between 1968 and 1977, with 408 being produced by ČKD. In 1988 they became class 753. They were based on the class T478.1 (later class 751), but were fitted with a more powerful engine. A significant number had their steam heating boilers replaced by generators for electric train heading in the early 1990s, and became class 750. Other modifications have taken place, leading to new class numbers; the Czech class 753.7 locos have Caterpillar engines. 753s have been sold to private operators, mostly in the Czech Republic or Slovakia, but some went to Italy. Internet sources suggest that several 753.7s were certified for use in Poland, a few with ČD Cargo Poland and three with PKP Cargo International (although it owns more examples of the type for use in the Czech Republic).

This GeForce 7950GT (EVGA 256-P2-N636-AR 256MB) was the graphics card of my last gaming PC, with a Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 and 2x2GB DDR2 RAM I built in 2007. It was a nice rig at that time, and I used it for almost 8 years with just HDD and RAM upgrades as my days as a PC gamer were long gone...
