El Paso Streetcar does a nice job of decorating for holidays. Car 1511 looks like a jack'o'lantern while the inside is also ghouloshly decorated. This was seen on Father Rahm Ave just a few blocks from the US-Mexico border.

Muni acquired this car in 2002. Lit by streetlights, taillights and zenon headlights.
Een naar mijn idee erg mooie verschijning is de gele PCC in Den Haag. De 1165 reed de 18e op lijn 11 als extra lijn voor het HOVM wegens de vlaggetjesdag, wat zich afspeelde in Scheveningen.

We gaan verder met de krappe straatjes in Antwerpen, waar de PCC's echt tot hun recht komen. wagen met nummer 7056 zien we om de melkmarkt heen draaien om weer richting Berchem te gaan rijden.
In Scheveningen werd de jaarlijkse vlaggetjesdag gehouden. Het Haags Openbaar Vervoer Museum reed voor die gelegenheid met hun museumtrams tussen station Hollands spoor en Scheveningen, over het traject van lijn 11.
De fraaie creme-kleurige PCC vetrekt hier net van zijn eindpunt Strandweg in Scheveningen.

Op 17 september eens de tijd in gestoken om wat museumtrams in Den Haag vast te leggen. Naast de Tourist tram werd er ook het een en ander aan materieel extra gevangen.
Met veel geluk fietste ik hierlangs en stonden er 2 PCC's bij de halte naast elkaar. Even later kwam de Tourist Tram er ook nog bij en ontstond er een ware PCC optocht op een normale zondag.
San Francisco Municipal Railway (MUNI) PCC car 1057 is seen stopped for a break on the Embarcadero. The car is painted in a Cincinnati Street Railway scheme worn by similar cars prior to the system's abandonment in 1952. The car was originally built by the St. Louis Car Co. in 1948 as Philadelphia Transportation Co. car 2138, and has been restored/rebuilt twice since being acquired by Muni in 1992.
Van het ooit bijzonder grote tramnet van de Franse havenstad Marseille was in de jaren zestig van de vorige eeuw slechts de drie kilometer korte tramlijn 68 overgebleven. Het strategisch in het stadscentrum gelegen ondergrondse trameindpunt Noailles was een van de redenen dat lijn 68 kon overleven. Ter modernisering werden in 1969 16 PCC-tweerichtingwagens in dienst gesteld. Vanwege het krappe tunnelprofiel waren zij slechts twee meter breed. In 1984 zijn door BN en ACEC nog drie stuks in gemoderniseerde uitvoering nageleverd. De oudere wagens zijn toen overeenkomstig gemoderniseerd.
Op de foto zien we motorwagen 2009 in afleveringstoestand aan het eindpunt Saint Pierre. Autobussen voor op de tramlijn aansluitende buslijnen staan gereed in de eindpuntlus.
De korte tramlijn 68 vormde de basis voor het nieuwe tramnet van Marseille. Tussen 2004 en 2007 is de lijn aangepast en zijn de nieuwe aansluitende takken gebouwd. Ter vervanging van de PCC's zijn lagevloertrams aangeschaft die net als hun kleine voorgangers door Bombardier geleverd zijn.

Ooit was de heldere crème kleur een teken van moderniteit en reinheid. De kleur werd door veel trambedrijven gebruikt voor het wagenpark. Meer trams in deze algemeen gebruikte kleurstelling vindt u in het album "Een echte tram is crème".

I was scanning my way through a stack of Roger Puta slides when I came upon just four of MUNI PCC Cars dated December 1980. It's pretty clear Roger was out one winter afternoon in San Francisco playing with the setting sunlight. I know you are going to like these.
The fourth car is a double ender. But all Muni PCCs had a front pole for backup moves. Note how the front trolley pole rope, best seen in the third photo, is wrapped behind the left outside rear view mirror.
1. MUNI 1019 rolled N CONNECTS WITH L 46th-ZOO. Steve Souza commented, I believe the K-Ingleside was slowly being transferred to the Boeing LRVs. This car is inbound, on 19th Ave, approaching Eucalyptus.
In February 1967 the Illini Rail Road Club operated a trip from Chicago to Pittsburgh. They chartered a PCC car and road it on the remaining car lines of the South side including the interurban lines.

Mit den Wagen 2018 und 2107 sonnen sich Vertreter zweier PCC-Lieferserien auf dem zentralen Groenplaats in Antwerpen. Die markante rot-weiße Farbgebung ist unter der Regie des flämischen Verkehrsbetriebes "De Lijn" leider verschwunden.

Brookville got a contract to remanufacture six of El Paso's remaining ex-San Diego PCCs for its new loop line. The cars will receive completely new solid-state controls, motors and other electricals. They were originally built in 1936. This car, marked as #3, will return as 1504, its original number. December 11, 2015. © 2018 Peter Ehrlich

Op lijn 7 kwam ook nog een enkele PCC langs, maar wel met koppeling. Deze tram zien we op het Leopoldplaats en is onderweg naar Sint Pietersvliet.
