Happy 80th Birthday, Paul!
Thank you for accompanying my whole life with your wonderful songs and stay well!

For the encore, Macca was joined by Ronnie Wood and RINGO STARR for the loudest rendition of 'Get Back' ever heard. Closest I'll ever get to a Beatles concert. Brilliant!

The Beatles were an English rock band formed in Liverpool in 1960. The core lineup of the band comprised John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They are widely regarded as the most influential band in Western popular music.
A member of the group, Paul McCartney, had developed an early interest in photography. His photos of the group, taken at the height of Beatlemania (1963-64) constitute a visual record of a pivotal moment in popular culture.
This photo from McCartney's collection was seen and photographed at an exhibition entitled 'Paul McCartney, Photographs 1963-64: Eyes of The Storm' at the deYoung Fine Arts Museum (FAMSF) in San Francisco, California.

I declare June 18 Paul McCartney Day, a world holiday.
This was taken in Ottawa in 2013.
Thank you for being so awesome, Sir!
This postcard from Germany was in a group of clippings one of my co-workers had saved since the early 1960's.
Day out with ianbartlett and ajlelliott for a circluar walk from Pett Level to Icklesham.
I think everyone in the area knows who owns this windmill. It can be seen for miles and I kept shouting out, "get the kettle on Paul, we're on our way" :) However, I don't think he heard me, as there weren't any cups of tea waiting for us as we walked by :)
One of a group of Banksy stencils that coincided with Liverpool Biennial 2004. This only stayed up a couple of days before someone nicked the panel. Think the quick theft led to this Banksy stencil. The building it was attached to (think it was a Liverpool Community College catering school) has since been demolished.

Because of Covid, Wednesday was the first time in 15 moths that I braved taking a train into Liverpool, and the very first time I've been able to photograph 'em without crowds of visitors all around 'em.
I was in the Chicago area training at the Fujifilm Hanover Park facility for two weeks. Our 31st wedding anniversary was during these two weeks. My wife decided to join me in Chicago.
On our exact anniversary date, Paul McCartney was playing in Chicago AND tickets were available; we snapped up a pair of decent seats online right away.
Absolutely fantastic show, simply amazing!
Paul is on keyboard to the far right. He played for almost 3 hours; when I am 75 years old, I hope I am able to do half of what he did that evening.

For anyone who enjoys Beatles memorabilia, this has been the place to be: the gift shop at the Paul McCartney photo exhibition, which ran at the National Portrait Gallery in London in 2023.
McCartney’s candid photographs from the early 1960s, when the Fab Four were at their zenith, create a loving, intimate visual account of life on the road. It was manic, yes, but the guys were young enough to take it all in their stride. And thank goodness Paul was interested in photography, because what we have here is a unique and irreplaceable record of the most frenetic time in pop music history.
