Beautiful cloudy morning taken at Patricia lake in Jasper. The air and water were perfectly still along the lake reflecting the pyramid mountain. I can attest that it was even more beautiful 1 hour earlier at sunrise which I totally missed. I saw the wonderful colors reflected off the clouds whilst I was charging the batteries at Tim Hortons after a night out in the car.

Pyramid Lake Road in Jasper skirts around the east end of Patricia Lake and this viewpoint, with Pyramid Mountain in the background.
I always missed the fall colors of the poplars by a week on either side, but got lucky this time.

Patricia Lake is a small lake, just outside of Jasper township. Pyramid mountain dominates the background.
For the fit and adventurous, there is a scramble route up Pyramid Mountain. You can bike it from town and partway up the route before you have to drop the bike and hoof it up.
Or, you can canoe around Patricia and Pyramid lakes or for us photography lovers, you can walk the shorelines and find great views in all directions.

A multi-vortex tornado near the town of Patricia, south-east of Lamesa, Dawson County, Texas.
We were stood in the same field when this one touched down.
This was a long day with a 13-hour chase across Texas.
It is only 3 weeks till we head out to tornado alley again, hoping for more scenes like this, but you never know what you're going to get with the weather.
