Minha mais nova invenção, para aproveitar os restinhos de etamine, resolvi fazer um bordadinho e colocar na bolinha de patch para o natal, eu amei o resultado, 2009.
I melted a hole in one of the ruffles with the iron. To patch it, I cut off the stabilizing ribbon on the inside neckline that the shirt came with, and stitched it down with some matching embroidery floss.
A gardener let me into the fenced pea patch area to sketch this delightful little cultivated plot. He told me it belonged to "Dan," who is clearly a lover of flowers and color.

She showed up before I'd had a chance to put the food out that morning. She is by the window waiting for the food. That unusual red and brown patchwork fur is beautiful in the morning sun.

There were some places in the apartment where the former tenant used a desk chair without a rug. It wore down the floor pretty bad. I mentioned to the owner about fixing it. Well, today I went there and they patched it with what I think is that wood filler stuff. Needless to say, it looks terrible.I just about had a heart attack. Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned about it at all. They're going to paint over it to try and match the floor. But I don't know if it's even worth it. I'm gonna have to get a couple of rugs to cover the two places where they did this. ugh!
The Cotton Patch Geese on The Button Farm is a natural weed eater and therefore was used by Southern cotton farmers, during but especially after emancipation of slavery, to weed between the rows of cotton. The geese are now almost extinct but were in abundance in the South up until the 1950s. The Button Farm has 6 Cotton Patch Geese and is preserving the woven history with this heritage breed during the African slavery era. /photo by brown.girl.farming. thecolorofood.org
