I was rifling through my already processed files folder and ran across this shot taken exactly one year ago today. Quite a coincidence huh. :) I took this shot with a 70-200mm lens with a 2X teleconverter.

Clouds partially obscurred the horizon at sunset, but the it was still a rather nice sunset all the same. I climbed over the wall to get this shot (don't tell anyone!) because my tripod was not tall enough to use on the other side. And this was my last shot because it was a this point my camera battery gave up the ghost.

Partially destroyed by Hurricane Ian in 2022, the Naples, Florida Pier doesn't have the fishermen on it now but there still are many visitors to this iconic site..
A combination of cloud reflections and ice floating on and below the surface of the partially frozen Fraser River
British Columbia Canada
***Fast moving current, yet on this day, the face of the river had a very smooth, mirrored like finish.
To my eye, the ice floating under the water in the foreground of this image, seemed to be a good match for the actual cloud reflections that were being mirrored off the background ( or top ) of this image.
Thank-you for all the overwhelming support and many friendships.
Happy Clicks,

Aerial view of Old Town (UNESCO World Heritage Site) with Medieval Tower in centre and neo-Byzantine Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral in the background left.
Also the St. Mary's Cathedral (Estonian: Toomkirik, English: The Cathedral of Saint Mary the Virgin, also known as Dome Church) is visible just behind the tower.
The church at right is the St. Nicholas Church (Estonian: Niguliste kirik, German: Nikolaikirche, a medieval former church in Tallinn, Estonia. Originally built in the 13th century, it was partially destroyed in the Soviet bombing of Tallinn in World War II. It has since been restored and today houses the Niguliste Museum.

This partially excavated castro is located next to the Camino de Santiago and it is estimated that it was occupied from the 5th century BC until more or less the 1st century AD.
It sits on a gentle hill with a panoramic view of the right bank of the river Miño, but as it is not a steep terrain, it was necessary to build a series of defensive elements that made this settlement unique.
An intricate system of ditches, walls, embankments and palisades surrounds the entrance to the settlement, where the houses have straight, regular walls and are grouped into neighborhoods.
Demerara sugar is partially-refined raw sugar that is made from the first pressing of sugar cane. Once the extracted cane juices evaporate, you're left with large grain sugar that has a golden brown color and a subtle molasses flavor. The small amount of molasses that remains in demerara sugar allows it to retain a more mineral and nutritional content compared to granulated sugar.

Partially unwrapped, and with one bite gone, it's a Milky Way "fun size" bar. Consisting of nougat topped with caramel and covered with milk chocolate, each bar weighs just 17 grams and measures two inches in length.

We had to cut back a lot of this tree because it was dying, part of it is growing back, but some of it seems as if it will not come back after its trimming.
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them! Thanks again!!

This little blue was photographed close to its nest which was partially hidden in the shade.
The little blue heron (Egretta caerulea) is a small heron. It breeds in the Gulf states of the US, through Central America and the Caribbean south to Peru and Uruguay. It is a resident breeder in most of its range, but some northern breeders migrate to the southeastern US or beyond in winter. There is post-breeding dispersal to well north of the nesting range, as far as the Canada–US border.
The little blue heron's breeding habitat is sub-tropical swamps. It nests in colonies, often with other herons, usually on platforms of sticks in trees or shrubs. Three to seven light blue eggs are laid. The little blue heron stalks its prey methodically in shallow water, often running as it does so. It eats fish, frogs, crustaceans, small rodents and insects.
White little blue herons often mingle with snowy egrets. The snowy egret tolerates their presence more than little blue herons in adult plumage. These young birds actually catch more fish when in the presence of the snowy egret and also gain a measure of protection from predators when they mix into flocks of white herons. It is plausible that because of these advantages, they remain white for their first year. – Wikipedia

I found this beauty in a parking lot today. When I researched it, I think it is part leucistic or it could be a hybrid. Out in a nearby pond there appeared to be about 3 other canada geese like this. Very interesting.
The farmer across the street has started the Corn harvest.
To date he is partially comp;leted but the rain has caused a delay.
Hopefully he'll get back out there next week when the weather warms and dries up.
Bald Eagle (UPDATE!) It has been brought to my attention that this is NOT an immature Bald Eagle, but a partially leucistic adult - Cool!

This shot was taken during our first visit to Cornwall in 2021, after the pandemic restrictions were partially relaxed. Pictured on the right is the old engine house for the tin mine known as Wheal Prosper. Despite its name Wheal Prosper was not a hugely succesful mine, working for only six years between 1860-1866. It was intended to mine tin and copper from the Porthcew Lode.
The engine house is dramatically situated on the cliff tops of Rinsey over-looking Rinsey Cove and Porthcew Beach three miles from Porthleven in the south-west of Cornwall. Built of granite and killas slate taken from the local clifftops this engine house was home to a 30-inch pump. There were three shafts the most notable of which is the now capped Michell's Whim shaft measuring an estimated 420 feet in depth. The site has been under the stewardship of the National Trust since 1969.
In the far distance can be seen Penzance with Mousehole on the left.
