Hainault station on the London Underground, very Art Deco in design, the station itself opened at the start of the last century but closed until the end of the art deco period when it reopened. I did put this through Lightroom and then Photoshop so the end product does look different, but on a sunny winter's day its just emphasised perfectly for me.
Super-Sprinter at Betws-y-Coed. The station building housed cafes and other businesses for tourists while a bus shelter on the platform was provided for waiting train passengers. Miniature rail fills the former goods yard

Εξ όσον φαίνεται θα βγούνε βόλτα χέρι χέρι μιας και η νύχτα κύλησε ομαλά δίχως ίχνος ζωής από κουνούπια, και μόνο εμείς οι τρείς είμαστε ζωντανοί μα στο βάθος μας περιμένει η χρονομηχανή.
Και τούτο προς το παρόν γιατί προς το μέλλον θα διαταραχθεί το πεπρωμένο όλων μας λένε, αφού τουλάχιστον για την ώρα ο πόλεμος ξανά ζωντανεύει μέσα από τις γκρίζες στάχτες του.
Ένα καινούργιο πουλί γεννιέται κάπου και ακολουθώντας το παρελθόν μας σύντομα θα εμφανιστεί στον ουρανό, ως κάτι διαφορετικό του χώρου και του χρόνου διαγράφοντας τη λογική.
Ακούγοντας όλα τούτα ανασκουμπώνομαι και στο υπόγειο μου κλειδώνομαι βάζοντας απέξω από την πόρτα σημείωση, πως το δασαρχείο για σήμερα θα παραμείνει κλειστώ λόγω κεραυνών.
Όπως καταλαβαίνεται θα βρέξει με την σαρανταποδαρούσα και την μακριά κάμπια τίποτα να μην καταλαβαίνουν από αυτά, μα αν τους βρει τούτος ο πόνος τότε και ακαριαία θα διαχωριστούν.
Για τον έρωτα ομιλώ τον παράφορο στεναγμό χωρίς καμία λογική επέκταση του, και στο μονοπάτι της ανισορροπίας τους βλέπω να κάθονται πάνω σε μια τραμπάλα δίχως τίποτα το ερωτικό.
Φυσικά ο ένοχος είμαι εγώ αφού τους έχω αφαιρέσει τα κουστούμια και τα νυφικά τους, και στη θέση τους έχω τοποθετήσει Γερμανικές στολές και τουαλέτες του δευτέρου παγκοσμίου πολέμου.
Ο Stoffel με όλα τούτα έχει τυφλωθεί από τη δόξα που τον περιμένει και αν ήταν δυνατόν να παρασημοφορηθεί εδώ και τώρα, θα το δεχόταν κάνοντας αυτήν στην άκρη εντελώς επιδειχτικά.
Φυσικά και του ανοίγω δρόμο εντός της λογικής του βάζοντας τον τη μια μέσα στο Panzer την άλλη πάνω στην BMW R75, και στο τέλος ως πιλότο μέσα σε ένα Γερμανικό Stuka να βυθίζεται
Μα πρώτα από όλα θα πρέπει να λάβει διαταγές από το Βερολίνο και σύντομα γέρνοντας με ένα υποβρύχιο, θα κατευθυνθεί προς τη Γερμανική επικράτεια αποφεύγοντας τη Βρετανική λογική.
Στο τέλος θαρρώ πως το πάθος του για εξουσία θα τον μεταφέρει στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, και αν τελικά καταληφθεί από τους Ναζί μπορεί και να τον κάνουν κυβερνήτη εκεί για όσο ζει.

NS 224 is northbound at Smarr, Georgia on the Griffin District in the last few minutes of sunlight with the Pennsy heritage 8102.

Astley Green Mining Museum walkabouts
Liked this place a lot. Run by volunteers whose aim is to keep the history of coal mining alive. Great for general walkabouts with all sorts of heavy industrial equipment wanting you to take a photo.
Was smitten with this place & the bunch of lovely ex mining folk who made me very welcome, thank you
Chunks of old iron sat forlorn rusting away are probably the uninteresting photos you could think of !! so with this set I've gone for a 'cross colour' edit & as usual kept the white border , experimented with B&W which was my idea from the off but thought the watered down colours added a little more to the image, any feed back or tips would be appreciated ;-)))))))))
They talked for a while and then they said goodbye!

A montage of 3 photos from Melbourne CBD that showed plenty of parallel lines.
The top image shows the parallel railings and features in the multistoried Emporium building.
The smiley face part is the decoration on a raked seating area in Melbourne Central and the stripes are the wall decoration of the same seating area.
