Upload for Macro Monday - Crinkled, Wrinkled, Folded or Creased challenge. This is just folded copy paper stapled at one end to make fan type shape. Flash units on either side of different power settings. Used the D800 double exposure feature to multiply the effect.

Today was one of those days when everything gets piled on you at once - or when you realize that everything was piled on you over an acceptable length of time, but you've procrastinated so long that you now have to work like a maniac to get it all done.
Damn me for spending my free lessons at college on flickr and not doing my psychology coursework!
My day started with a phonecall from my love though, soooo today was super awesome anyway! 10 second self timer killed on this one, had to waddle to my camera wrapped in tissue paper, set it off and waddle back without breaking any of it, nightmare!!

This piece of watercolor art paper measured 4" x 6"; the crumpled paper in this photo measures less that 3" wide and 2" high.

at first it was a doodle I've made during a week of initiation about "art therapy". finally I really like it and play with the layers and the curves.

I have lost some of the interest in folding models with more levels, since the final result ends up being too large and difficult to store or display. I think 4 levels will do for now.
Made using the typical "make something nice at the center and then use all the extra paper toward the edges to make a box" method.
It has some similarities to Tomoko Fuse's boxes that are made from a rectangle, this one was folded from a hexagon of colored copy paper cut off from a 35 cm on the side square.
The bottom side looks nice too, you can see it here.

Again, I wanted to try to design a model that uses just square sheets. The nice thing about this model is that theres a "pop-up" feature. However it may have already been designed....

Folded from 6 squares of 5 cm on the side of Kraft paper.
The model is deceiving and to get the effect in the diagram you need a background the same color of the center part.
