Canon EOS 33 - Ferrania P30 alpha @80ISO - Caffenol Delta MIC 15min @ 20ºC
My own long story, in duration, of the first Ferrania P30 alpha photo I feel, it is worth sharing.
In march I was lucky to place a pre-order for 3 rolls of new myth, the famous Italian movie film of the 60's back to life. Ferrania worked hard and it took time until I received a small parcel with the 3 135 cartridges.
There is still no "official" way to develop the P30 it with Caffenol, so I went chatting to internet forums and group. I tried some proposals and this is the third try: Caffenol Delta MIC (Dirk Essl, www.caffenol.org/2011/01/17/agfa-copex-rapid-in-delta-micro/ ).
I am only scanning the negative, but I like the fact it keeps detail in shadows and texture in highlights. This is a good start.
By the way I exposed the film in a modern motor wind camera, the smoother mechanic I know and it went OK. I attribute the scratch on the border to the slitting of master roll. This is alpha, so perfectly acceptable.
I hope the film will be affordable when it is sin production because I love it!

Kodak Brownie Fiesta + Ferrania Pancro P30 film (obviously expired)
Developed in Ilfosol 3 (1+4)
Kodak Brownie Fiesta found in a flea market...inside a roll of the legendary Ferrania Pancro P30 film, probably remained "sleeping" for almost 50 years ... A strong emotion take photographs with this historical film and see the results (almost unexpected) after being locked up in a dark room for the development ...
Somehow it always feels like they don't even exist.
People tend to forget about the P30 series, and yet they are just simple, good and reliable film SLRs!
Poundland, for the time being at least, have just begun to stock Maisto Fresh Metal singles to sit alongside the usual HTI generics and odds and ends of Matchbox and wooden Hot Wheels! Its been a while since I've seen their products on general sale with ASDA giving them up back in 2017 and others earlier so its a welcome return for a series of mainly licensed models. There are of course some unlicensed and pure generics with this Step Van falling somewhere in the middle, its meant to be generic but is probably based on an old Chevrolet Step Van which means good old fashioned boxy and basic styling. No budget for an interior of course but everything else is about on a par for a genuine one Pound diecast these days.
Mint and boxed.
