This week's assignment for Macro Mondays is "Lost/Found". At first it was a bit of a struggle to find a subject, but last weekend I was shooting pictures in my garden and I found this cochlea. The owner was lost and it even had a hole in the shell in the shape of a heart. Then it became a challenge to take a picture that was good enough to post on Flickr and Macro Mondays. I am totally satisfied with the outcome. I hope you like it too.
Thanks for your views, comments and faves. I appreciate it!
Have a wonderful Monday! HMM!
The new owners bought various old vintage tractors & other old transport to the Scottish Deer Centre as a photo opportunity for young and old very popular.
A wreck of an old ship that lies along the Sligo coast, I think this one is beyond repair... Sad to see all the skills that went into building this slowly diminish with every passing storm

The Franklin Automobile Company was a marketer of automobiles in the United States between 1902 and 1934 in Syracuse, New York. Herbert H. Franklin, the founder, began his career in the metal die casting business before establishing his automobile enterprise. Controlled by Herbert H. Franklin it had very few other significant shareholders. Franklin bought its vehicles from the H. H. Franklin Manufacturing Company which was only moderately profitable and frequently missed dividends on common stock.
The two major characteristics of their automobiles were their air-cooled engines and in the early years their lightness and responsiveness when compared with other luxury cars.
The Franklin companies suffered financial collapse in April 1934. Aside from his consequent retirement CEO Herbert Franklin's lifestyle was unaffected. (Wikipedia)
Owner, operator, head chef, printer, line cook, you name it - of Kenoy's in Clarksdale. We heard about the restaurant from someone J had been talking to at a gas station and the recommendation was definitely worth it. Amazing burgers there.

Happy Caturday! - Owner's Choice
I decided to go with a shot taken this week. Woody just finished nibbling on the ornamental grass and is now waiting to throw it up. My wife and I waited for him to throw it all up outside, but we obviously didn't wait long enough. His mommy had to clean up after him. It's a good thing she loves her baby. Happy Caturday!
Margaret Todd was designed by her owner, Steven Pagels, and built by Schreiber Boatyard in St. Augustine, Florida. She was launched on April 11, 1998, and replaced her predecessor, Natalie Todd (later named American Pride) as a tourist vessel based in Bar Harbor, Maine.
The 4 masted schooner Margaret Todd operates at Bar Harbor on the rockbound coast of Maine. The first 4 master to be sailing these waters in over a half century. They typically sail at least 3 trips a day, 7 days a week. With only 4 crew and a captain they are definitely a “hands on” vessel with crew involved in sailing & maintenance, with a good chance to learn by doing.
Grande Hermine
While the now deceased owner of this vessel never realized much benefit from it, many others have over the years enjoyed watching the slow decay of the ship.
The QEW is a major highway connecting Toronto to Buffalo NY and is heavily traveled given the amount of cross border trade. Heading west on the QEW just past Grimsby, as you crest a hill the ship comes into sight and for a moment, it appears to almost intersect the highway. Pretty hard to miss ! The full history of the ship can be found in the link below.

Excerpt from “A Short Walking Tour of the Yates Street Heritage District”:
35 Yates Street was built in 1928 for Arthur Bate by prominent local architects Arthur Nicholson and Robert Macbeth. It remained in the Bate family until 1954 when it was sold to the present owners. It is a very distinct house displaying Spanish Colonial influences. These include its clay tiled roof and very irregular window placement.
This truly is a fixer-upper, the owner dragged it around for years with the intention of getting it fixed, but eventually abandoned it near Inverness on Tomales Bay. It's become quite the landmark since, so much so, when the area became a protected habitat, locals managed to persuade the government to not remove it.
Probably the last of my rainy day pictures. It's expected to get sunny again today or tomorrow.
Today is day 232 of Project 365 (Thursday).
This moment made me smile . The dog was sitting so patiently whilst his owner was trying to take his photo . Happy weekend everyone :))
Travelling in Bali, Indonesia in 1990 was different as we didn’t have internet or even cell phones yet. As an individual traveller I went on my own and followed information from others or travel guide books. In the remote part of East Bali, in Candi Dasa there were a few homestays at the beach for us. The owners of these small homestays sent their staff to wait for the bus and get guests to stay with them.
After trying some places, I found "Rama Bungalow" and it became ny base from where I did my exploring trips with a Sony Hi8 semi professional video camera and a Olympus photo camera.
There was only one road through Candi Dasa. The bus stopped near a temple at a "Warung" (Balinese restaurant/shop, kiosk)
Here was the stuff of three different accommodations waiting almost every day for the bus from Denpasar, and "Bemo's“, which are mini - busses for short distances and upropad destinations where the bus didn't go.
I took this photo in September 1990 with an analogue Olympus AZ 300 camera and 35mm Kodak Gold, ISO 200 negative film, and now scanned with Nikon Coolscan 4000D film scanner. (1990-09Neg 027_11A)

Back In February I got the chance to do a winter meetup in the Canadian Rockies and it was a lot of good times and even better conditions. This image is from the Two Jack Lake area and we got a really nice sunrise but the lake was frozen and not much going on in terms of foreground so this image was taken inches from the ground to make the tiny little s-Curve look larger due to the distortion of the wide angle lense. Then used the transform tool to extend the length with the highlight dodge tool to extend it into the middle ground. This helped the image with the foreground and connecting the background.
Thanks for looking !

This building on the Woolmers Estate was originally built in 1830 as a chapel. One of the responsibilities of estate owners using convict labour was that they provided religious education to their charges. Once the convict era came to a close around 1850, the chapel was used sporadically.
The Archer family church was Christ Church in Longford. www.flickr.com/photos/luminosity7/53545212307/in/dateposted/ . From 1890 the chapel functioned under the auspices of the Longford Baptist Tabernacle to serve local farm workers. www.flickr.com/photos/luminosity7/53544563640/in/dateposted/
In 1910, Thomas Archer IV turned the chapel into a cider house. Using the apples grown in their nearby orchard, they produced a cider that was marketed locally.
