Took this picture on a overpass above K Street near GWU in DC. Got a green light from roadsides in the lower right corner on this one (which was different), and plenty of light trails from the traffic.

A southbound Burlington Northern Santa Fe freight crosses the Rio Grande bridge over Colorado Highway 105 at Monument, Colorado, on April 23, 1998, just as a 1955 Chevy pops out from the overpass headed north toward Palmer Lake. BNSF No. 4725 is recently delivered from GE, and hasn’t received its “Heritage II” striping yet—quite a few of these Dash 9s in this number series were delivered to the railroad in this “undecorated” paint job that is somewhat reminiscent to Great Northern’s simplified orange-and-green scheme.

Overpass Graffiti

This is a dark parade

Another rough patch to rain on, to rain on

I know your friends may say

This is a cause for celebration, hip-hip-hooray, love

Photographs in sepia tones

It's so still, the fire's barely fighting the cold, alone

There are times when I can feel your ghost

Just when I'm almost letting you go

The cards were stacked against us both

I will always love you for what it's worth

We'll never fade like graffiti on the overpass

And I know time may change the way you think of us

But I'll remember the way we were, you were the first full stop

Love that will never leave

Baby, you will never be lost on me

This is a goddamn shame

I never wanted to break it, or leave us tainted

Know I should walk away

But I just can't replace us, or even erase us

The car was stuck, the engine stalled

And both of us got caught out in the snow, alone

There were times when I forget the lows

And think the highs were all that we'd ever known

The cards were stacked against us both

I will always love you for what it's worth

We'll never fade like graffiti on the overpass

And I know time may change the way you think of us

But I'll remember the way we were, you were the first full stop

Love that will never leave

Baby, you will never be lost on me

Lost on me

Baby, you will never be lost on me

Lost on me

Well, I will always love you for what it's worth

We'll never fade like graffiti on the overpass

And I know time may change the way you think of us

But I'll remember the way we were, you were the first full stop

Love that will never leave

Baby, you will never be lost on me

Toronto at 6am - early morning commuters approaching the colourful pedestrian overpass on Mt. Pleasant Rd.

Southbound ore from Fairlane approaches the Highway 33 overpass in Grand Lake with a former DMIR tunnel motor leading.

Took this one above the 395 overpass. Managed to get this fence on the over pass bridge in the foreground of the shot. Used the Cool Matte preset in Lightroom and worked from there on post from that.

Now for something different.

I needed a break from all those flowers!

This is a pedestrian overpass from the beach to the hotel, over a busy road in Fort Lauderdale.

I tried a B&W version, but the colour version really caught my eye.

After experimenting recently with film, I just had to add some grain.

Thank you, your views, favs and comments are greatly appreciated!

A short Q326 is about to roll under the then-nearly new Thornapple River Dr overpass in Cascade in May of 2008. The road used to cross the Plymouth Sub at grade here, back by the last couple of boxcars in the train. The overpass was built largely due to delays caused by long trains leaving the siding at Fox eastbound at 10 mph after meeting opposing traffic. The project began in 2003-2004. Ironically, by the time the overpass was built and the road re-routed, the bulk of the traffic on CSX had left when CP moved their trains down to the NS. These days, meets at Fox are very rare indeed, but I'm sure the railroad and the road commission are still happy to have eliminated a grade crossing. The trees have since grown up hugely here, making this angle a bit more challenging today.

The Basarab Overpass (Romanian: Pasajul Basarab) is part of Bucharest's inner city ring. The overpass was officially opened to traffic on 19 June 2011. The project was completed in August 2011, when ramps and elevators for the tram stations were installed. The bridge now accommodates the number 1 tram line, the only circular tram line in Bucharest that follows the inner traffic circle of the city.

The overpass was built by Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, S.A. (FCC), a leading Spanish construction company based in Barcelona, and Astaldi SpA, an Italian multinational major construction company based in Rome. The overpass cost almost 255 million euros, even if initially the cost was estimated at around 60 million euros.

The Basarab Overpass has a length of 1,9 km/6,300 ft and is the widest cable-stayed bridge in Europe, measuring a width of 44,5 meters/142 ft (tram station, safety areas and two lanes for traffic in each direction) over the railways near the north train station. The two towers that sustain the 60 cables of the bridge have a height of about 84 meters. Everyday, an estimated 50,000 vehicles transit the bridge. (Wikipedia)
