When I was about 7 years old, we had one of our family trips to Cumaná. I was hanging out at the pool when my parents decided to go to the beach. I followed, and on the way there I encountered what I believed to be a big crocodile, but turned out to be an Iguana. I yelled at the top of my lungs and cryed out to my parents for help.. Ran back into the pool, and dad had to carry me Donkey mode to the beach. I swear I was terrified. Trust me, it was like a big monstrous creature that wanted to eat my flesh.

Anyways, we've been back there a few more times, but I always avoided them at all cost. In my most recent trip there (this weekend), I decided that I had to face my fears. I would definitely include these in the things we do for art. I knew I wanted a picture because for some reason these are turistically fascinating - not me - but somehow foreigners love them.

So I took my camera, zoomed in as much as I could, and took pics. I got as close as 30 cms to one of them :s... and I found out, they're scared of me :) - thought that doesn't make them any less gross, scary, and ugly :s
