Not the typical iron ore train working with elephant-style 5636-5643 and 5650 after the Out-of-Gauge "Jumbo" with a work train consist of mainly new sleepers near the 224km between Shaw and Hesta: August 10, 1998.

It was a surprise to see 5650 and the jumbo spliced in between 5643 and the work train as it had been photographed earlier in the day with 5635 and the Jumbo load. See here for the photo: flic.kr/p/2pWVKwH

On 19 August 2016, special transport vessel (a converted tanker) Zhen Hua 20 is docked at Burchardkai with a cargo of three container bridges for the terminal.

She had to travel up the Elbe river at low tide and with the booms down in order to slip through under the power lines at Stade without shorting them out.

Next she was moored at the dolphins near the Finkenwerder Airbus works where she raised the booms one by one , as with the booms down, she would have been too wide to make it into Waltershofer Hafen basin to discharge her load.

The Zhen Hua's operation did not stop Burchardkai from continuing working two large container vessels in the remaining space.

Ex-Blackpool Corporation 'Boat' tram 228 at MUNI's Geneva depot in September 1985, with ex-St Louis PCC 1108 beyond..

228 had crossed the Atlantic four times, and had been sent from Blackpool to Philadelphia to participate in the 1976 Centennial celebrations, and had to be re-guaged to 5ft 2.5in to run on the tracks there. The car was re-numbered to 603, and painted in the livery shown in this photo.. It returned to Blackpool in 1978, and - being out-of-gauge - was left in storage until it was acquired for MUNI in 1984, and shipped back to the USA again - this time to San Francisco. The car was re-gauged back to 4ft 8.5in, and restored to operation - with lowered trolley tower - as Blackpool 228, and operated during the later 'Trolley Festival's, and later on the restored 'F Line'.

Today (2015) 228 is in occasional operation on the E and F Lines, and was seen here at the MUNI Herttage Weekend in November 2015:

On 15 August 2016, special transport vessel (a converted tanker) Zhen Hua 20 is moored at the dolphins off the Airbus works at Hamburg Finkenwerder with a cargo of three container bridges for Hamburg's Burchardkai Terminal.

She had to travel up the Elbe river at low tide and with the booms down in order to slip through under the power lines at Stade without shorting them out.

Here she can be seen raising the booms, as with the booms down, she would be too wide to make it into Waltershofer Hafen basin to discharge her load.

And, talking about special transports, in the background on shore, a "Super Guppy" transport airplane can be seen which carried Airbus parts between the different Airbus works before the current Beluga took over.

'I'm still rolling along!' - as the song goes!

Burton in Kendal services. Called in for fuel and this was was parked up waiting it's next move north! No idea where it was going or the exact nature of the load! I'm sure someone will enlighten me!
