Callanais standing stones on the isle of Lewis during a night of beauty and wonder :) the more I looked at each stone, the more they got individual features and started taking on characters ...

This was the view that greeted me back in January on visiting the amazing area of Northton on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides in Scotland. This wonderful salt marsh is so incredibly photogenic, in part due to the the 368 metre hill in the background, known as Ceapabhal. Mind you, the whole island is a landscape photographers paradise.

Excitement on the croft today as my neighbour Andy got his first lamb.Proud mum staying close by for protection
Toffee, a Scottish Highland coo, can't stop wondering about this strange phenomenon while she's keeping guard at the entrance to Luskentyre beach on South Harris :)
Happy Furry Friday!
A different crop on a favourite of mine from 2018. Love this viewpoint and this Lewisian gneiss boulder was a lucky find. Taken on Isle of Harris with Luskentyre estuary and the mountains of North Harris behind. I suspect Harris will be a busy place this summer!
Visited this Stone Circle park in October 2023 on Isle of Harries, Scotland. I was fascinated by the long shodows in the green grass. They appeared just for seconds when the sun came through the thick fields of clouds
Taken from Torscoram, looking down Loch Seaforth to Beinn a Mhuil.

This shot had been on my mind ever since I heard about Seilebost Beach.
I couldn't have hoped for better weather conditions to take it! Just a perfect morning, with just a wee bit of wind.
First time at this location, tried going in 2020 but ended up at the wrong beach :) Arrived in the dark and used our head torches to get to the location before daylight arrived. Captured just after 6.30AM and luckily no one had been and left footprints in the sand. It had to be a 3x1 pano edit which is what I had in mind once I was set up, its a 3 and half minute exposure.
